We have had inklings lately that this may have been in the works, but this is as good as a confirmation. MA 3 is on it's way!
Thanks for diggin' this one up, Ghost. I have every confidence this game will live up to it's first iterations greatness. The early screens showed promise, and the twitter posts last month were just more confirmation that they are putting all of their best effort into this game.

I actually am the slow one to this, as I just got out of class and then see this emailed to me. My god I am excited for this year... the year of battletech revival, and my wallet crying in a dark rooms corner.

On a different note....I can only imagine what BT storyline era the new MA game will take place under (whereas MechAssault and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf took place during the Jihad)? My guess: Dark Ages/Post Dark Ages?

Who really pays any attention to the storyline and plot anyways, am I right?
As a sidenote, our fan site is the top linked community site on Day 1's main site! Awesome!

LOL yeah guess you have a very valid point on that. Still, would be nice to know what the next MA game will be like and the story its based around. Either way MA is a pretty good option for casual players and those who want to be involved in BT yet escape the confines of the tyrannical CBT rules/regulations. If anything it might give me an excuse to play the Xbox 360 once more (or take seriously for that matter, Halo can be roundhoused by Chuck Norris for all I care OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH I SAID IT )! Even more so if the Smoke Jaguars were involved somehow (even if in a small/background role)!
MechAssault FTW!

Eh, either way a new MA game is good for those who want to experience BT without government-like regulations involved in it (CBT). So this is a definitive plus for casual BT fans.
