*Slams hand down on con*

'Captain, still no word...I'm invoking Operation Bacon....stand by'

'Major, are you sure? it's risky, we still haven't fully assessed the reserve's combat readiness....'

'Noted Captain, but we need that area secured...prepare the Hula for incursion up north....may all the Gods have mercy on her soul.'

Due to the unknown status of the U.S. Hula, I am sending the reserves up north to Canada, to secure the border regions.

PMs have been sent, we shall start again and hopefully against all odds, we'll win this war yet.

It is a shame indeed, but casualties were to be expected.
The European one has also taken quite some damage...

Also, for all those who are now getting the reserve, please mind rule 4a:

4a. email - hula.girl_roadmap@yahoo.com
subject matter: "Roadmap NA" for North America or "Roadmap EU" for Europe add the following info:
- Who do you get it from?
- What town, state, country do you live in? (closest major city works as well)
- If already known who's going to get it next? (no address only forum name)

This is necessary to keep the roadmap updated.
The info will not be used for anything but the roadmap, and the only purpose of that email-account is to make it easier for me to get the data and add locations to the map before the doll has actually arrived.
Due to your participation here, I'll get the necessary information anyway if I have to, but you'd do me a great favor by sending it my way right away, as it's a million times easier to keep track of it if I don't have to write PMs and/or search through this topic...
thanks in advance!

Hula Girl Reserve Unit (Codename: Vanessa) will be coming to Grimm.

She will visit some of the sights around Southern Ontario before being shipped off to someone else up here in Canada.

Still have a window of opportunity to get her a trip to CFS Alert. Let me know when she could be in the southern Ontario area and I'll check the schedule.

When it is Hula Girls time to return to the US I'd like to take her to the famous Eddie's Footlongs in my hometown.

Hey guys,

I've been showing little "Leilani" my hometown. I'm sorry it's showing date and time in the pics, but I don't seem to be able to deactivate it.

Posted Image
(EDIT: All Hail Sesambrot for the help, now I know how to post pics.)

Hula Girl on a bridge over the "Weiße Elster" (White Magpie)

Posted Image

HG in front of the Central Stadium (rebuilt 2004, the rampart around it was raised in the early 50s from war debris)

Posted Image

Leilani at a monument for the Battle of Nations. The monument stands at the place of the demolition of a bridge by scared french sappers, after allied skirmishers had plinkered out of a small wood at them and retreating french forces. The premature demolition led to another way out of Leipzig for Napoleon being cut off, the remaining french troops on the wrong side of it got slaughtered or captured.

Posted Image

Aaand here we are at Auerbachs Keller (Cellar), a world famous tavern, known from Goethe's "Faust".

Posted Image

Mephisto (left), Doctor Faust (right) and Leilani facing a swarm of tourists.

Posted Image

Many people rub the foot of Faust for good luck, so I let little Hula Girl get her share of luck too.

Posted Image

Leilani at the feet of the master, Johann Sebastian Bach. I wonder how his works would sound on an ukulele.

Posted Image

Then we came to the Augustusplatz, with the world famous "Gewandhaus" (Kurt Masur was capellmeister there for 30 years, then Blomstedt, now Chailly) and the Mende fountain.

Posted Image

On the opposite side of Augustusplatz, there's the Leipzig Opera.

Posted Image

Here we are looking at the Leipzig Main Station, biggest Terminal in Europe.

Posted Image

Last but not least, the Monument to the Battle of Nations.

Posted Image

The mourning warriors on the top are each 12 meters (around 40 feet) high. The monument stands at the place of the final battle of 1813.

Posted Image

After this long bicycle tour through the city we earned us some delicious drink (Odin Trunk is a beer - mead mix).

Next stop Norway!

A small chirp interrupted the silence...

"Command message coming in, sir. Priority One...." The tech nervously adjusted his oversized glasses to read the communique.

"Operation Bacon....successful landing...slight resistance encounted...mission is a go"

A cheer rose from those few left in the CIC, they had landed without incident on the Northern frontier, and it was now up to them to complete the mission....

I'd be glad to take hula girl to see the USS Midway and possibly up to Los Angels to visit the USS Iowa to complete the battleship set of pictures. Apparently the Iowa's move from No Cali to So Cali is delayed due to weather and public tours are expected to start July 7th. The lil lady hasn't had much time out here on the west coast, so send her down and we'll show her a helluva time!

I wonder if we could convince the devs to put a hula girl in as an ingame item.
I don't know why but the idea of having one bobble on my dash while fighting giant robots is just endlessly amusing to me. :o

Edit: NOW I remember why I love the idea, Coop from Megas XLR had one on his dash!
"Where's the time distortion unit? It used to be right there."
*Points to hula girl on the dash*

Man, I loved that show.
