I do really dislike how in most first person games you look down and have no legs, feet, body, etc- you seem to be a pair of arms and a gun floating in midair.

i'm confused what are you asking for because it sounds like you want a 3rd person view inside the cab of the mech? If that is what you want I vote no

Clearly I did not state my question clearly... (This does not surprise me as I have patterned history of speaking before engaging my brain.. but I digress)

Scenario: Looking "out" your Mech's cockpit upon yonder team-mate... Looking at / into the yonder Mech's cockpit you see an actual "pilot / person rather than the tinted representation of "windows"...

Here is an idea DaZur. Next time your in a car, try and see what the MAX. distance is before you can actually see/recognize an oncoming driver. You will have to be able to describe that person after. Make sure you going at least 65kph.

Then apply that distance to being in a Mech with a lot less window space. Although a cool idea, I suspect you would have to be at 0-25 meters before you could actually distinguish as a person.

And how many models would be enough, 1 Male 1 Female? Might as well stick a cardboard cut out in the cockpit with a pic of your own head glued to it. :P

LOL! Fair assessment....

I'll do that if you go play an air-combat simulator and you tell me how many times in an engagement you are able to see the pilot in the cockpit of the aircraft thought the engagement? Mind you we are talking about a potential closure rate between 600 and 800 knots.. (WWII era where dog-fighting primarily takes place)

I will concede this is definitely is not a game-breaker and it is a minuscule request in the grand scheme of things... That said, for me at least, especially in online games, "seeing" a person in the cockpit of the machine I'm about to blow to tiny bits gives me pause ...

i think it would be kinda cool, if you can get close enough to see the other guy, for me it just gives me a more percise target to yell oscenities at.

Would you be carrying Small, Medium or Large obscenities on that Mech of yours? ;)

The size of the obscenities is irrelevant... I postulate the constant bombardment of the pulse obscenities have a greater impact on an enemies concentration and overall sense of self-worth... :)
