Man, I had some fun in my Vindi back then....
Such a shame they killed the game when they did, i was saving for a 4P at the time, and had splashed out on a CN9-A instead.

Heya Chewie, no problem man. I was saving for a Cent when they announced the end, just something about that AC and LRM 10 combo pack that made me want to pilot one. Didn't quite have the cash for it, but did have enough for the Vulcan and the SRM 6 Jav.

When you want to add an image to these Invision Power Board forums you have do the following:
Once you are in your profile Edit section of your signature,
Click on the "Tree" looking icon a bit offset and below the smiley face.
This pulls up a PoP-Up interface to enter the URL of your image that you want to add to your signature OR any image you want to post on the regular forums
Click "OK" then you are done.

I remember even flying to Greensboro for "Skippy-Con" to see the new version being rolled out.
Uncle Skippy and a few of the guys where there.
I think TBC (The ****** Clans) are still around.
Well, if it isn't Loremaster Reaper! Great to see some familiar names.
It was Reaper and Silk (P. Cabana) that got me into MPBT on Genie around 1995. Those dial-up sessions sure could get expensive if you let yourself get hooked. Great camaraderie back then though. I was with House Steiner, although I never got to make a name for myself on Solaris.
I also got involved in a MW2 modem challenge ladder on Compuserve using NetMech and Mercnet, run by Dracon on the Modem Games forum. That eventually led to an assistant op position on a couple of gaming forums and the anime forum until CiS went to the crapper. The devs were pretty approachable back then. I remember taking part in a live chat session with one of the boys from Activision, and exchanging e-mails with Bryan Nystul from FASA. Good times!

I have still not forgiven EA for canceling that game. As for what I have played..
I have served in House Marik in every incarnation of this game since the days of GEnie. (Hated those CC bills!)
And PUNK, thanks for the files!

5 side war game WAYYYYYY better then 2 sided war games
Having to start from the bottom made all the arseholes of the world quit before they got into a position to make gaming no fun
Skill and practice > dumping money into it and shortcutting the system
Larger maps that aren't expanded better then a world that all of a sudden finds atlantis which is bigger then the whole previous world
Good friends that are as dedicated as you are to the game is better then playin alone
I miss MPBT3025, ALOT and i'm hopeful that MW:O will respect us old MechWarriors and bring back a 5 sided war with a story line that eventually will include the Clan Invasion

MPBT-Solaris
MPBT-SVGA
MPBT-3025
And I was DCMS in all of them. I think all I ever bothered to pilot in any of them was the Blackjack.

Various different reasons, chiefly they wanted to focus on MotorCity Online, which lasted until.......aug 2003, so 2 yrs (started in May 2001)
They probably realise by now where they went wrong

Yea, Project Jenner was started not long after, which then became known as IS3028
Despite the best efforts of the people working on it, no game was ever realised.
