fun little factoid

The commando's head has been interpreted in literally every which way due to the original line-art being fairly vague about which way the head was actually pointing.

so you end up with certain versions thinking that the face of the mech is the smooth windowless part and that the antenna points forwards.

franz vohwinkle's version interpreted the original commando as looking forwards leading to the lasy soldier style head with the "helmet" canted at an angle.

and numerous other versions interpret the mech's head to be sharply turned to the other side in that pic, thus making that black part out to be the visor, leading to the ninja mask versions that are commonly seen.

Omigir, click on the Announcements subform link. Once on the page showing topics, look to the upper right hand corner. There, you will see a "Follow this Forum" link. Mostly epic paintwork - I guess it was hard to redesign this ugly to something looking SO good. Even despite a bit Darth Vader-ish (or maybe Shredder from TMNT) head.

I really like the design, 'eye patch' and all. The torso armor even reminds me of a tactical vest.

If I was a merc and just starting out, I'd pick a commando. Nice armor for it's size.
Only slightly above average speed and short range armament, but when you can get close enough...
