Women play MechWarrior?

Well, Tifalia is a woman, then there is another one which made signatures a long time agon on this forums and I saw one from other house one day, but I already forgot the nick.

With that said, you should not say things like that. ;)

Ok, I will put this back on track...

On topic: we've already stated that you will be able to customize your controls as you see fit. If you want to make your button layout backwards/forwards/rotated 45-degrees... you're more than welcome to.

Hope that answers your question.

Hope that answers your question.

Not really, but sort of.

My question is more the individual play testers. What controls they prefer and if there is a question on more preferred controls. Are more of the play testors using mouse and keyboard, or are most of them using joysticks, what about some of the other peripherals out there like the one hand gaming 'keyboard'.

I hate to do this to you but you will "have to wait until GDC".

Any stuff that is going on right now is probably covered under their NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for those that aren't familiar with the term.

See that is your problem. No wonder the other guys in the office head shot you. You got to stop listening to them when they tell you how to set your controls, they are trolling you Paul, apparently doing a good job of it too.

I hope the support goes for the lower priced joysticks out there like the Saitek X-52 and not just the high end stuff. Saitek has such a sick selection of pilot sim stuff it can get out of control. Will have to check what they are playing with at GDC but Im sure it will be some high end stuff.

Though I'm sure this is well-covered by 'Soon', myh search-fu hasn't uncovered any nuggets.

I'm very likely going to build a simulator for this title -- assuming it can be supported. Is there any intention to allow for 3rd party inputs like TrackIR and full-motion rigs (I direct you to the glory that is http://simxperience.com)? I run an eyefinity setup for my racing games -- I VERY much want to expand this into a full motion simulator with custom-built usb inputs, etc.

Yeah, yeah, I know. 'Soon'. Just wondering if the intent is there. ;)

I'm just happy I can key bind controls to whatever key's I want. I enjoy binding whatever random keys easily accessible to wherever my hand decides to rest at the time. It makes thing's so much easier!

Just don't press the keys in the following as it leads to... well, let's just say things get rather strange; Marauders living with Hellbringers, Dropships filled with candy, the five corpsman of the acropolis making an appearance. I think we'd all rather not live through all that.

Here we go again LOL

For the record: I have a SideWinder X8 mouse. Will that be enough or do I need to grow a third arm for my keyboard?

Perhaps you should go to the HARDWARE section and check to see the thread "Everything you never wanted to know about Joysticks". I am sure there is tons of info in there and you can make a more informed decision about your third arm.
