Rumor is there might be a MWO branded joystick coming out. What stick would you hope they base it on?

1) Thrustmaster 16000m. $45ish. Hall effect sensors
2) Saitek x52 pro $150ish. Hall effect. HOTAS, MFD
3) CH Products Combat stick $80-120ish depending on model. Pots.
4) Logitech g940 $250-300ish. Force feedback, HOTAS, pedals.

These came up as probably some of the top sticks in their price category without going nuts. Assume that the stick would only be cosmetically different and about the same cost. If you have another favorite in production stick, suggest below.

I'm going with the Logitech. I think if this game is worthy of me spending the time then I will do so at a level that is worthy of the game. Ya know?

Saitek x52 pro
Has a cool screen and its cheaper also sturdier than logitech
but I preordered something else for MWO

Razer Black Widow Stealth Edition I got several reasons for that
So advanced technology with stick seems abit off for me."Imagine Captain Kirt with Joystick"
It shares same name with my favourite plane YF-23 Black Widow
I love LEDS !!!! Never forget the tacktical sound.

@TheRulesLawyer can you add CYBORG F.L.Y.5 Flight Stick to the pole atleast mention on your first replie
cause it has a low price rate BUT AMAZING Battletech look on it

The Thrustmaster HOTAS-X is a cheap HOTAS that was marketed for HAWX, would translate well here.

I bet one of the stick companies would love an excuse to design a new line... Like the Warthog for DCS AC-10...

I use an old Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedback. But its lack of buttons makes me wish for a HOTAS with FFB, cheaper than the G490 though...

X52 Pro is never a bad way to go. It's sturdy, has good software, a decent price (for a HOTAS), looks neat. The second best option I would suggest is to buy some CH Products (a full set for the price of a G940) which will likely still be working when aliens find them underground 3 million years later. I find sticks like the Warthog or Cougar weird to use since they are clearly designed for the aircraft they are based on.

If you want something under 100$, get the Cyborg FLY 5, not a HOTAS-X. They are cheap for a reason and don't really have any advantage in capability over some of the higher-end joysticks.

My personal wish for a MW joystick setup would be an inclusion of a stick, SEPERATE throttle (and not one of those ball ones like I have now stuck onto the stick's base =\), and a dual (maybe 3 as the reverse switch?) pedal setup for turning.

Ideally none of these would be my choice...

Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold, the same well worn one that I used back in MW4 days complete with half front trigger that leaves a callous on finger when used regularly.

Logitech! Gets my vote. I still have the one, I bought 5-7 years ago.

So a New one that costs that much should come from Logitech

Logitech, though I would hope they shoot more for the $150-200 price point because beyond that is a bit much. Of course I already have a CH setup that was nearly $300 so not very likely I'd be buying another stick unless its absolutely incredible.

Interesting! Could you provide a link to substantiate this rumor for those of us in the dark?

I haven't heard a lot of good stuff about that stick. Some of the older cyborgs, yes. The current ones not so much.

Well the g940 has all of that. Its a full setup. Most of the others you can add the throttle or pedals if you really want them.

Yah, I heard that was a good stick, but out of production from what I understand. I was hoping to keep it about current models since cosmetic changes are probably as much as we can hope for.

Nothing hard like "We are making a joystick" But way back in November they were talking about the possibility of branded peripherals in the dev interviews. Its not new news, just speculation. Just go read the early stuff in the dev blog forum. Its mentioned in there.

Check the Media section for Hunchback's cockpit view. Doesn't control system look like Saitek? But what I really would like to get as MWO branded hardware is EPOC neuroheadset with full MWO support. I vote for real neurohelmet for MWO!

Other high end (explain) - Neural interfaces: You just put a plug into the adapter in your neck, and you can steer with your thoughts.

Lacking that, I don't care. The stick I've got is enough for me.
