While I agree - we can't exactly write 'this is a Large Laser shot' on the laser beam, so in this case, it does have to be colour specific. :/

What? No.

Fatter beam sizes dude. Different sound cues. Different dissipation cues.

There are a lot of variables to play with without reaching for strawmen.

But do these things IN ADDITION to, not instead of. I mean that is if you care about colour blind accessibility.

I don't. I can see fine myself. But then I'm not a dev, so I don't have to care.

Hmmm... symbols, eh? I would agree that, blue triangles for friendlies and red skull and cross bones for enemies would certainly be recognizable regardless of color.

Yes that would help, I can tell when the armors gone.

Once a section goes yellow (armor or structure) I won't see any difference again until its cherry red about to pop. Anything inbetween I have no idea

*nods* Luminosity is the key. Colors that share the same luminosity are much more likely to look the be difficult to discern to people with color vision problems.

A tiny Number countdown on the paper doll. For example the outline armor of green might be a 5....it goes to yellow its a 4,...orange 3...down to having a number for every shade with the last red being 1.

Now im not sure how many shades of colors there are in paper doll if its 7 shades: then 7 is green, 1 is the last red shade.

Thanks.

also

Somebody told me that you can see enemies on the minimap. I never knew!

I cant see them hehe. dark red on a dark surface is invisible to me.
and there is a missile doors light? never seen that either.

this game makes me hate my eyes all over.again. just like the time when I came home from shopping clothes all dressed in purple and yellow, thinking I looked sharp...

please, pretty please, stop using only colors to convey information. use numbers, symbols, etc in addition to the colors.
if I could pick the colors for certain things myself, like the ingame chat for instance, that would also help.
