Battle tactics fancied ...

I was wondering what were some of the battle tactics that you have used in the past in other Battletech/Mechwarrior games and that you plan on using in MechWarrior Online?
Some tactics I applied in the past were jumping into other mechs' back (reversing during the jump) to fire at their less armour protected back after landing, circling my enemy at great speed and firing with a swivelled torso sideways in a one on one duel, trying to stand at higher ground and facing the foe with long-range weapons on a territory that provides little to no protection for advancing enemy units, using partial building or tree coverage to dodge enemy missiles and long range weapons and fortifying in water to allow for quicker cooling of my mech that was likely to overheat quickly.
Some additional strategies that I would like to use, if the game desgin allows it, are luring enemies into quagmires or quicksand, launching a jump attack on (the heads and shoulders of) enemy mechs, hiding under water in ducked/kneeling mech position and emerging undetected in the back of passing enemy troops, and digging oneself in or carrying out a mech shutdown in a dense forest with appropriate camouflage painting to avoid detection by enemy armed forces from land and air.

heres one of my favorites, jousting, ~ run strait towards your opponent then, alpha strike them, then turn your torso 90 degree to either side so that you center is guarded, now you collide/dfa.
Another variation shield arming: Alphastrike then rotate to block with your arm until your weapons recycle.
Double Tap: Run straight towards your opponent, alpha strike them, run past them, Bank hard left or right and torso twist, hit them again just as they face you.
(MW4)
Not a tactic / per say. "makes you suck in the long run if you rely to much on it"
RattleMaster: Fire some autocannons in premeasured intervals and never take our fingers off the buttons. Autocannons cause aim disrupting knock. 4 ac 10s fired 1 second apart in "old not mektek" mechwarrior 4 days allowed for a never ending shake down to the enemy mech. Thus they could never fire back.
The same could be done with 4 LRM 5 launchers.

Go out alone ahead of your lance and a good, well trained unit will rip you to pieces.

Long Tom is Looooooooooong:
Self explanatory. Get an Assault mech and arm it with 2-3 Long Toms and heat sinks, just enough so that it brings it close to shut down but not so hot it causes a melt down or ammo explosion. Scout and fire away. Stand in water for added effectiveness.
Recon Sniper:
Medium Mech with a Gauss Rifle + 1-2 close combat weapons(I would pick Flamers and Machinegun)
Plays like a scout in staying hidden and spotting but has the potential to take out or at least cripple (Read leg) a vulerable mech.
Juggernaught:
Assuming we get melee weapons this will be fun. For Assault Mechs only. Max out the engine, and continuously charge the enemy, You want to max out your tonnage for this to be most effective (in theory).

This is the kind of 'combined-arms' lance tactics I want to employ in MWO.

I love light Battlemechs. Dodging and Juking are effective ways not to die, couple that with a distraction made by said mech, and Mr. Heavy hidden behind a building has a clear shot at whatever rear-armor or critical he likes.
