MW4 Vengance had the sweetest story line but MW4 mercs had the best selection of mechs

Mechwarrior, it was the closest to the Tabletop BT

My favourite era is around the Fourth Succession War with massive engagements including infantry, armour, vehicles and aerofighters.

MW3. No question.
First online game. Difficult to master with lag shooting.
But the speed and intensity of combat was a rush unsurpassed by any game since.

C1 1 v 1 games that lasted an hour and finished 10-9.
Olympic style fencing at 150 kph with lasers with the best in the world, where it took you 2 minutes to force an error from your opponent and put him in to a money shot from you. Hitting your target at 550 meters out with a combined approach speed of 300 kph because you just knew where he would be.

And an intro movie that was epic!

Had a few moments in MWO that have that epic battle feel. Looking forward to many more..

If the question was best other mechwarrior game, the obvious answer is MWLL. However, thats still being developed, they added 4 mechs a tank and 3 air vehicles in a recent patch, so it doesnt really count.

MW4 mercs is my choice though, perhaps because when i played mw3 i didnt fully "get it". Everyone has a first mech game.
