Since I have a feeling the thread is going to be closed anyway.
It was Pastor Terry Jones, the church guy who was famous for burning the Quran in a theocratic trolling attempt. He created a movie that insulted Islam, and portrayed Muhammad as some kind of incestuous child molester or something to that effect (muslims consider any depiction of Muhammad to be a grave insult, let alone cast in that kind of light).
This time Pastor Terry really cranked up the trolling with his movie. Hope he can sleep soundly at night knowing he threw gasoline on that fire in the Middle East. And judging by the news, he's completely unapologetic about his actions.
He didn't pull the trigger, but he certainly instigated the whole thing.
Here is the thing, though - no matter how offensive a movie made by someone might be, or how truthful / untruthful, etc - it never gives one group of people the right to kill another. Further, they didn't even kill the people who made the video (which would have still been wrong) but instead threw a tantrum and killed people who had no relation beyond nationality to those who had offended them. That sort of blind retaliation is the height of arrogance and evil, and while we should not stoop to that level ourselves we should also not let those who perpetrated these heinous acts off so easily.

Well, much as I hate people geting hurt (or worse, murdered even), this can hardly being claimed to be the fault of a single person or action - U.S. policy regarding the middle east has been continually throwing gasoline on that specific fire since when ? 1970 ?
Lybia is in North Africa, not the Middle East per-se.
