Easy now, I'm sure most of the FRR will shell out some greenbacks (or redbacks, for those of us holding euros) for a mech with horns. I mean, if a certain very arrogant mech pilot can have fangs added to his wolfhound, I think we can get some horns for our mechs.

I am red, somewhat squishy, and very pissed off. Try and bite this bear and die.

Just watched the Mech-Lab video on IGN. Didn't see Horns as an option for head slots. :D

Melee hasn't been added yet, until then we have to do without getting the horns to headbutt other mechs with.

I would love melee... but I also find it very unlikely that it will be in this game (at launch at least) as programming proper model collisions and damage should be hell.

As long as I can get a Hunchback or an Atlas, I am happy. I tend to be a brawler or long range direct-fire support.

As FRR has been a DC district, DC Mechs are ok, also Steiner Mechs are usable.

To bad the Viking, a 90 ton assault mech was not finished till 3060. One heck of a missile boat, and love how it reminds me of a T-rex. Doubt we will see it any time soon :P

i guess it's going to hard to explain where i got my catapult, considering they are manufactured in laio space.
"well you see, i was visiting solaris and i saw this catapult with a tarp draped over it standing illigally on the side of the road. it looked like it had been there a while, so i figured no one would miss it... and it WAS standing illigally, so taking moving it was like community service, right?"

The Catapult probably would come indirectly through House Steiner (Lyran Commonwealth). House Davion (Federated Suns) captured the bulk of House Liao's (Capellan Confederation) production capability during the Fourth Succession War. House Davion and House Steiner began their merge in to the Federated Commonwealth at this time. As part of this merge 'mech designs were swapped between the two realms. So Davion built Catapults, from worlds captured from House Liao, would have been shipped to House Steiner. The FRR currently has an Even Balance trade policy with House Steiner and House Kurita - so you would have gotten your Catapult third-hand through a House Steiner purchase.

That explains how I obtained a Cataphract.

Davion loot that ended up in Steiner hands, and then sold to the FRR,

Indeed, that explains how I will eventually obtain 3 of the buggers.

I'll explain my Cataphracts by claiming I built them from a junk heap of broken battlemechs.
