Though I know that all mech chassis will be available to all houses, what mechs were available to the FRR during this time period? I know the panther was a common mech in the FRR. Anyway I'm curious because it might give us an idea of what mechs will be cheaper/more common in the FRR and what mechs might be harder/more expensive to get. What do y'all think?

Also the FRR needed more threads Posted Image

Edit: Adding the list here graciously provided by Haakon

Draconis Combine 'mechs (except for most of the really fancy equipment) are a good place to start

The Sarna list isn't particularly useful here it appears to be for a post clan invasion force where the FRR was getting heavy ComStar support.

During the current period, the majority of FRR 'mechs were from local militia and grandfathered into the FRR armed forces. New mech were produced locally or supplied by the Lyran Commonwealth or Draconis Combine, the mechs that were imported would have been designs that were being retired, second string designs or were being produced in large numbers, so I would imagine that it would look something like this for the time period.

Light mechs - Commando, Jenner, Urbanmech, Valkyrie & Panther.
Medium mechs - Hunchback, Centurion, Whitworth, Dervish & vulcan
Heavy mechs - Dragon, Quickdraw & Jaegermechs (from the captured factory on Quentin)
Assault - Charger, Zeus (the 6t auto-cannon armed variant) & Stalkers (common everywhere)

They would also have a spattering of the re-seen stuff as well, but as a starting point I think the above list is a good starting point. It isn't stated anywhere but I also suspect that the FRR forces would have a tendency to be lighter then other house forces with a strong bias to light and medium mechs.

Maulers are great for spewing long range AC fire and watching the enemies armor chip off under the hail of tiny (for a mech) bullets.

This includes pretty much every mech they've released so far except for the catapult, so I say we're in pretty good standing ;)

As said earlier, pre-clans we should basically have Steiner and Kurita list of mechs. Post -clans we should have Steiner, Kurita, Comstar and salvaged clan mechs.

I don't even think the Lancelot was SEEN in the Inner Sphere until the Minnesota Tribe raids.

While the LNC25-01 production was cut short by technology losses, the downgraded LNC25-02 remained in production at Luthien Armor Works after the Second Succession War.

As long as I can have my Hunchback...

Time to delve into the TROs to find mechs that I can use for my little pet project.

Hmm, maybe I should name my Hunchback The Lurching...?

Bonus points to those who get the reference

I see both Scorpion and Goliath. I am happy.

Now if only the Tarantula was in there as well...

Just watched the Mech-Lab video on IGN. Didn't see Horns as an option for head slots. :D
