Space Port, Terror's Dropship Harlech City, Outreach, 24th February, 3063, 20:30 Hours
Twenty minutes later at the ship, a lone mobile rescue unit approached, it's lights off and moving silently against the dimly lit tarmac. It continued on course all the way up to the ship and across it's cargo gantry tongue. There to be swallowed whole as it disappeared inside.
We, um...we just kidnapped an ambulance. With, well, medics on it. One of those wouldn't happen to be Doc, would they?
I like "Doc" too , I say we keep him and if I didn't kidnap him to begin with, I've got enough time to go back for one more
[hint hint: I'd personally luv it, provided the GM and Nomad agree with it. That and it'd explain where Alexi is right now and why she's not at Juri's side]

I'm seeing something like this.
"Wait a second, Alexi. This is a military dropship?"
Doc looks about not seeing the mech cubicles which were considered norm on military dropships, but seeing the Battlemechs strapped down, almost cocooned to to the bulkheads under freakish amounts of straps.
"Hey let me go get my Bushwhacker, I'll be right back!"
Read the 'The Three Fates by the Grand Dragon' scene. Raise hand, I was doped with the goons. With Juri's mental state, honestly thought she dosed herself with karosine. Was doped. So there's method to her madness or madness to her methods. Either which.
Sorry guys, been a rough few days. When reading the asian quarter scene, i remembered something happened to me two, three years back. I was fortunate enough to travel to south korea then. Being a bumbling tourist, I kinda got lost and didnt know how to get back to my hotel. No one I came across spoke english. The hours were getting long and frustration was rearing its head and I thought to myself the ignorance of people not being able to speak english. Eventually I came across an elderly korean woman, spoke no english, but after pleading looks and gestures and saying the hotel's name again and again, the old woman took me by the hand and lead me to my temporary home. Yeah. I reflected then, my earlier frustration- could I slam this old woman her ignorance for not being able to speak english? She was an elder, whose advanced years and life experiences made her far more wiser then me. I realised to my shame, that I was the ignorant one. Why couldnt I speak korean? I was a foreigner in a foreign land and I expected people to adapt to me. I was so ashamed and embarrass at myself. The elderly woman laughed and spoke something in korean, probably about bumbling tourists and left. As always the old will teach us what we need to learn.
The world is changing, whether we like it or not. And we need to change, whether we want to or not. I cannot say 'I can speak english' and believe that is enough. (Even though I must admit to myself my own command of the language to be mediocre, given how vast and beautiful the english language can be express) No. The World demands more of us. I have been complacent and lazy even right now. It is my thinking that needs to change with the changing times. Mandarin, Arabic, Russian, Hindi/Tamil, Spanish alongside English shall be the driving languages of the next half century. I need to learn, to temper my thinking. Language is thought and thoughts are how we impress ourselves to our surroundings. Ha, wouldnt it be nice if by learning a new language we can resolve the problems facing the world? Ha. Maybe not. The problems of the world are too complex, the nerves of people too raw. But maybe it is the effort, in trying to meet half way that can be a first step, to try to understand (not superficially on the surface) other people, other places. I dont know. Just dont know. Sorry guys. Am weird today.
The world will change and we will grow older. Feelings of irrelevancy will start to creep in. We will start to reminisce on what was, decry about the changing times but we need to move on. The world is moving on with or without us.... How we think and see the world need to change. Ha. And when we are nice and senile, marbles rolling in our heads, and robots, androids, cyborgs running around, augment reality as the normal way of living and, well the Clans starts invading, Word of Blake starts nuking everything and Devlin Stone comes into the picture, maybe then we can grasp the meaning of it all. Well, whatever happens we all we have our own summer of 69. Sorry guys. Am weird today.
ps - as a reader, am really appreciating Steel and Snow.
Hey Thom, I'm not sure what to do now lol. Should we meet at the dropship or should I call you lol. I just need to be hired on as a mechwarrior so I can grab the bushwhacker.
