Very. The Linna's fjord map in Mechassault 2 I believe was named for the main character. So if we get Warder on board (He's stated he's interested) then I could well be utterly outclassed :)

As I promised the squire, here is a character bio following the usual template. (Apologies for the delay, my cold addled brain decided to put me into hibernate mode...) :)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Lauri(Larry*) Gurung

Callsign: Cut-throat

Date & Place of Birth: December 7th, 3038(25) on the planet of Muscida, Free Worlds League

Military History:
Spoiler

Rank: formerly a Corporal in the Free Worlds League Military(FWLM), currently a Sergeant of the Green Hearts Company

Battlemech/Vehicle: None : Infantry

House Affiliation: None currently.

Physical Description: Lauri has short cut black hair, light ocher skin and black eyes. He has a wide face which squares out at the bottom.

He is slightly below average height and though he is athletically built he is by no means a large man.

Wears a standard combat uniform, however a large green heart has been embroidered over the left shoulder.

Notable equipment: 1 sidearm(pistol), 1 rifle(will specify make and model later but it will all standard things) and his trusty Kukri.

Combat Assessment: Though a quiet, thoughtful and friendly man outside of combat Lauri is known to be utterly fearless on the battlefield, a particularly useful trait for an infantryman in the 31st century. This is not without its disadvantages however and on occasion he has suffered numerous injuries as a result of a blatant disregard for his own safety.

A veteran infantryman the Sergeant is well-versed in military doctrine/tactics and has proven to be a capable platoon leader.

Background: (Coming soon, I have some ideas, but nothing concrete yet).

Approved so far Vodka, but I'm going to need you to RP at least 1 company of infantry for plot reasons. 2 companies will also be offscreen (May end up on screen, we shall see :))

No worries, squire, I figured as much.

Incidentally I no longer need to ask you how many companies of infantry are required.

Lauri will be my main character so to speak, but I will detail out enough secondary characters for the involved company to feel alive.

Furthermore, everyone's favorite Captain needs to at least leave a message or two for Vantas. Now that he is old he is clearly even more of a threat. :)

Is it considered bat form to "unintentionally" step on the Infantry?

depends on how fast they're running... and if they are cradling a new born in their arms.

Is it considered bad form to plant explosive charges inside the cockpit of friendly mechs?

Only time will tell... :)
