Off topic a little but - Out of all the leagues, I have to say it's a real toss up between VL or BZ as my all time fav... BZ planetary was incredibly cool and I liked the regular drops allot as well - 70 ton average works nice. As for VL though the league automation was sweet - top notch job at tracking all those different team stats and ladders....bidding was nice, but a little more work than a BZ drop - but still allot better than some of the other leagues.

Good times man...good times. Wish I had the forethought to fraps some of that stuff back then just to be able to share with folks nowadays.

BZ was great.. I LOVED the 70 ton average limit. You drop 6 guys, run one raven 35 and one vulture 60 for ECM/BAP and missile support, and you get a 45 tons for a few Assault bruisers in return.

That's why MWL had max two of any chassis in addition to the tonnage average lol.

I was always surprised at how civil we were when it came to who got what mechs, I guess there was always enough firepower to go around. But I think when it came to handing out the Novas, deep down, everyone was thinking this:

It was silly how good 7ER novas were on lunacy. I hope we can customise mechs.. but "boats" are pretty dumb. I had a 5 CLRM 20 vulture that would knock down any mech in the game. Once it's down = gg.

Ya more variety would be awesome and I get the impression PGI is pretty focused on balance but when the clans invade you can bet your *** I'm gonna petition to get the Nova released as soon as possible

I agree with the Mine Mine Mine but I almost always went with a SCat ER PPC + 2 ER LL so that Nex could roll an MKII and Haze could get his thanatos. lol Ninja and fate always got the novas

I liked the VL duels.

I ran a 2ERPPC/Light gauss Loki with ECM/Bap and 130kph legs.

probably. played every role at some point. Favorite vulture move was skulk and flank radar off. Find the backside of a jumper, wait for a landing, then deadfire 5xCLRM20's. Then turn radar on and pickle 'em to death.

I played in VL for KaoS and BZ for HELL and KaoS. KaoS in MWL and TWL. TWL closed its MW4 league because of us. I'm in for any league that makes the other team play you. Keeg and a lot of us KaoS guys played in GRIM who lost every match for 2-3 cycles but never turned down a game. That made us the KaoS Legion that no one ever wanted to play. We couldn't even merc in a game. A KaoS_ tag cleared a room faster then you could bid. I miss i0n. I hope he gets wind of this game.

Those were the days! Was DR_Chip back in MW4VL from Clan Dark Revenant....so many names from those lists I remember, most of them spankin my ***. We were in another league as well after VL started to go down, but can't remember for the life of me which one that was.
