I think this speaks for House Steiner in general.

A bit too fast; for a scout 3/5 is plenty.

I like big 'Mechs and I can not Lie You other Lyrans won't deny

When a Zeus walks by with an itty bitty waist

and an Autocannon in your face

You get sprung.

The late coming Fafnir, with its dual Thor's Hammer, made me love the Steiner concept of mechs' battles.
I still have to discover the power of the Atlas and Zeus yet.

So when a light scout lance of Atlas doesn't work...we send in...an assault lance of wasps?

But if the Atlases and Zeuses are pulling scout duty, what are those of us in the Lightning Companies Katrina created (not her, the non-matricidal one) supposed to be doing?

Stealth Atlas

Stealth-Atlas AS11-S

Rules Level: Tournament Legal
Era: Dark Ages

Armor: Durallex Heavy Stealth Stealth Armor w/ CASE

Dark Ages is to Battletech what Rogue Trader is to Warhammer 40k. Except more shameful, since that's what the game in question devolved into, rather than evolved from.

Don’t misunderstand me, now. There’s still a place for lighter equipment like the Banshee and Zeus

I'm not a fan of the dual heavy gauss Fafnir. The decreasing damage at range is silly. Now the dual Improved Heavy Gauss Fafnir is a beast.

A shame even the HGR version isn't until the early 60's, it's best to think of it as a slightly more accurate AC/20 at med range; I wouldn't use it any further. iHGR is awesome, though part of me wishes we could throw Stealth armor on it. Lousy lack of criticals.

Hey, a pair of Commando-class battle armor = capable of noble remarkable feats. ^_^ Besides, an Atlas is really just an oversized Commando in some ways.

When 100 tons are doing scouting, who attacks? That 135 ton monstrosity with three legs? ^_^

Why didn't you make a mech with 150 tons, or 200 tons, when you think this is true. B)
