Robinson Ranger’s Varmint Company is for serious gamers who aren’t looking for a serious environment. We are composed entirely of older, veteran gamers who play to win without taking ourselves too seriously. All players in Varmint Company are expected to be highly proficient in piloting and gunnery and to have a good understanding of general strategy and tactics. In our informal setting, all team members have substantial influence in the strategy and tactics of each game. However, we are not a good environment for inexperienced players.

Can you keep the cursor on the bad guys and just want to melt some ‘Mechs with other people who pretty much just want to blow up ‘Mechs? Well, Varmint Company could be the home for you. We are only seeking players who are available to play primarily between 8-12pm EST during the weekdays.

We offer:
  • Organized team play
  • Highly proficient mechwarriors
  • Informal voice com atmosphere
  • Loosely enforced rank structure
  • Mature players
We do NOT offer:
  • Training
  • Non-Mechwarrior Online community experience
  • Strong Roleplay experience
  • Highly-structured, military-style environment
If you're interested in the experience we offer, go here to apply to the Robinson Rangers and ask for the Varmints!

I've had a blast running with the Rangers. Well coordinated and a great group of people who know when to be serious and when to have fun. :(

Y Company, sounding off!!!

Greetings everyone. Major Chris "Kribby D" Johnson here. I am CO of Robinson Rangers Yankee Company, aka "Talon Strike".

We in Y Co pride ourselves on having a very friendly atmosphere while still placing a premium on pilot skill. We are somewhat more relaxed vs. competitive in comparison to some of our brethren, though IMO we sport some of the finest Mechwarriors the Robinson Rangers have to offer. Comms during matches tend to be jovial with no hard and fast protocol for voice chatter. Don't be fooled though: we know how to get the job done. I believe GreatZen said it best when he mentioned that V Co "is for serious gamers who aren’t looking for a serious environment". That is the environment we've worked to foster in Yankee Co as well. We pride ourselves in using sound tactics, knowing each others strengths and weaknesses, and having fun while putting up a nasty fight against those that think they may be capable of besting us.

We also have a few OG Battletech players in our ranks, which means we have a plethora of in-house knowledge for use in the Ranger roleplaying and short story forums. Our Mechwarriors skew to being older (30+) though we do have quite a few younger players that fit in well with out "relaxed and mature" mindset.

What Yankee Company Offers:
  • Tight-knit, coordinated team play in a relaxed and mature environment
  • Highly skilled Mechwarriors
  • Willingness and patience to train those that are new or need instruction on game mechanics
  • Stable rank structure
  • Roleplay/story writing opportunities
  • Mature players

Hello everyone, I am a proud Seargent Major of Z Company within the Robinson Rangers and we're always looking to toss fresh meat in to the grinder.

Our company is as casual or competitive as you wish to be and gives its members lance and rank assignments based on play times, cohesion, teamwork and goal within the game.

If you're interested in checking us out, hop on over to http://1st-rangers.c...ruitment-center and do a bit of light reading and put in your application.

Looking forward to playing with you.

While I realise that this may be a little late to point out by half a year or more and the poor snake may not be around to defend himself, but ......
This Clanner has just proven himself dishonourable by ordering another of his ilk to fire on a target that he has already selected for himself.

OOC: So many people love the clans but don't have a real clue as how they actually operate/fight.

I can't understand why people trying to divide themselves into categories all the time, but it doesn't mean that I don't encourage people to become rangers ... just PLEASE everyone - don't expect to be SUPERIOR as soon as you join rangers - you would just have good company to spend time with, no win button attached :D

Well, there may not be a "win button" attached when you join the Rangers, but its certainly easier to win when you have a full team of people who are well coordinated and know what they are doing.

* Note, the above statement does not apply to Z company when they are hung over the morning after "Company night"

The main reason why I joined the Rangers was I wanted to be apart of a Company that had a great and friendly astmosphere.
Having a busy life style due to school, work, family (real life in general) isnt an issue for the Rangers and its what really makes playing with them 'relaxing'. That being said, its also a blast dropping with your Company mates and having a hell of a good time.

I am Captain Fearon of Red Company in the Robinson Rangers Brigade. I'm putting out a call for the following roles.
Sniper (Direct Fire, not LRM based)
Scout (Both Electronic Warfare and Taggers)
(Others may be accepted, However must talk with me prior to joining Red Company. We're currently a little brawler heavy. But I'm not gonna turn down a beast of brawlfest on the field )
We are a pretty tight knit group. We offer very structured training and a home for new players. I will personally help each member thrive on the battlefield both as a lance member and an individual I do want people who kind of know what role they wish to play, this is however NOT a requirement.

What to expect from Red Company:
- Structured focused training
- Friendly Environment
- Semi-hardcore level. (If you're brand spankin' new... don't worry. We'll get you fightin' with the big boys soon enough )
-Strong Leadership
- Skilled Fighters

Unit Goals:
- Each Warrior will be a powerful presence on the field.
- Prepping for community warfare
- Strong Lance and Unit connections

Hey folks,

My name is Nomad and I just wanted to encourage you to consider joining the rangers. We are a large and diverse group with a wide range of playstyles. We've got players from all over the world and can accomodate almost everyone.

I've really enjoyed my time here and can honestly say I have no regrets with my choice.

1st Robinson Rangers, 2nd Battalion, Foxtrot Company ("Warhorse") is now seeking recruits to fill out our few remaining open slots. Foxtrot is a mixed tonnage strike/reconnaissance company that has always been the "tip of the spear" of 1st Regiment, dating back to when it was the only Rangers regiment. Our motto is "Suivez Moi" - "Follow Me" - and we aim always to be out front. One of our earliest leaders (now a colonel elsewhere in the Rangers), designed our company to mirror the feel of the US armored cavalry unit with which he spent the majority of his army career. This heritage is important to us.

Foxtrot has traditionally been a very active company that strives for high pilot competency and excellent unit cohesion. In new recruits we look for nothing more than the ability to follow orders and a willingness to learn our method of mech combat.

Applicants should know

-that we do not offer a roleplaying experience
-we are primarily a US Central/Eastern time zone unit.
-A relaxed, bur competent atmosphere
-An Active team to drop with
-We are happy to offer training or just simple constructive help

We invite you to mention your interest in Foxtrot in your application; once you are a Ranger, join us in our TeamSpeak channel so that we can evaluate whether Foxtrot is right for you.
