Bam, week done, finished. The weekend looms ahead, large and inviting. What'll everyone be doing? For our review, let's look back and see what happened. Most of it was good, some sad.

I want to start by offering my condolances to the wife, children, family, friends, and fellow Goodswarmers of Sean Smith, AKA 'Vile Rat.' Though I had never met him, even I knew Kill A Blue -> Tell Vile Rat. He will truly be missed, and I have named my Jenner (complete with XL engine and 6 small lasers) Kill A Blue in his honour.

Over on our end, we started the week with Ask The Devs 16 - Answers. Following that, we had our 10th Desktop Wallpaper (which was not my personal Mech, but similar to Mr. Pond.) and we had a great Wednesday with our Dev Chat with Thomas Dziegielewski, the Senior Gameplay Engineer. After that was Weekly Screenshot 18, where I asked everyone to guess what happened. What's your guess?

Cheers, The MechWarrior Online Team

RIP Vile Rat.

I crossed his path, and cross hairs several times.

I also sat across the e-table from him in negotiations.

Just exchanged a few msgs with him a few months back that I was leaving that place for another.. damn.

OH GOD BEES

(and RIP Vile Rat -- I never mucked with the Goons in EVE, but I have lived vicariously through an EVE goon I know... ********, the lot of them, but they have a sense of honor.)

Screenshots and interviews are a poor substitute for game development.

So why is the Mechwarrior Online Team offering condolences to Goons for having lost a member? We had someone in our gaming community pass recently. Would it be possible to get a shout out for her? I mean, you didn't know this person but you didn't know Vile Rat either.

It's truly sad when someone close passes. Particularly a young person.

Regardless, this is the second time i've witnessed the Mechwarrior Online Team catering to the Goons. In another instance the MW Online team allowed the Goons to break the forum rules and they allow it to continue today.

So why is the MW Online Team allowing them to break the rules? And why are they giving special mention of deceased members whom they apparently never knew?

If this is going to turn into another situation where the Devs are clinging to a group of gamers simply for revenue while ******** on the rest of the community i'll just go ahead and demand my 120 bucks back.

Sorry for your loss goons. But this has nothing to do with Mr. Smith.

So here I am looking for a new MMO to play, and I see here complaints of the some of the same issues that caused me to leave EVE after 5 years. Looks like I wont be spending money here, either.
