What do I mean? Well, here's why, copy / pasted from the Ask the Devs 35 Answers:

CCQ 3: Why is Machine Gun damage so low?
A: Partly due to the nature of how MGs work in the TT rules, partially due to how we chose to make it useful. When equipping a MG, keep in mind that it is not meant to burn through armor but is very useful for tearing up internals (crits). Bumping MG damage will turn it into a laser that can be kept on with no heat penalty until it runs out of ammo. Now imagine the devastating effect that a 6 MG spider could do to the back of an Atlas! We are still investigating balance of the MG but don’t expect any significant increase in damage.

Bryan, you do realize it's mistakes like this that reinforce my belief that PGI will forever continue to fail yourselves and everyone else? Math, Bryan, learn it: 4 =/= 6, so either proofread, or get someone who actually has a grasp on the facts to do that.

Not really MWO related, but it is affected in a tangential (yep, still on a math kick) sort of way:
This is directed at the many comments related to the idea that the gaming market will soon be (if not already) in a crash. The blame squarely lies on the publishers, for their anti-consumer practices (always online DRM, on-disc DLC, etc.) that are meant to reduce software piracy but instead hurt actual paying customers, and has a very minimal effect on piracy anyways. These are features that you see mostly on console games, or console games ported to PC. There are a few PC-only titles that have these features but thankfully they are less common. What I see happening is a crash in the "AAA" gaming market, and a surge in "indie"-developed titles (like FTL <3 )
The market is changing and the big publishers are not changing with it, or the changes they're making aren't completely in line with how the market is changing, or are straight up asinine.
Now, with that out of the way...
(not you Roland, aimed at Bryan )
