[Listless Nomad]

So, I know the trailer has been picked apart endlessly these past few days, from mech loadouts, dropships, colors - everything.

But one thing bugged me that no one seems to have brought up. The "205".

It was splashed everywhere on the mech - head, front back, in almost every shot - "205" was there. Based off the fact that the Swayback in the distance was no accident, I have to imagine that there is something to this number as well.

One thing I thought up was that, in Canada (like most of the rest of the world), they put the date first, then the number. Therefore, "205" could easily be "20.5" or the 20th of May. Whether that would be a beta date or a release date is impossible to tell.

I know I'm going wayyyyy out on a limb on this one, but with all the other tiny little details - I can't overlook how prominent that number was. Especially in a teaser trailer.

Anyone else drinking the Kool aid?

Well until they say something offically about it, there is always that possibility however small and remote it might be.

I was also curious about the number. But cleary not as curious as you.

Lol - I know - I'm just crazy haha. Maybe it means 205 mechs will be in the game

More than anything I made this post to get people talking. There is very little that when this community gets going, they can't figure out. Take the swayback as a prime example.

Hey even I figured the swayback one out, was going through the 302#something technical readout, looking for some reference. Unfortunately it didn't have a variant number, but knew it was lasers when I read it [And not LRMs as people were saying till then ].

Sometimes the number 205 is just the number 2 followed by a 0 and a 5.

The most likely explanation. But whats the fun without a few conspiracy theories. I'm fairly confident you are right, but with all the other little easter eggs and symbolism in that video - there is a decent chance 205 means something

In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LXIX Corps, Third Army, to District 2 of the Federated Suns Military Region, but was moved to an undisclosed are of the Periphery by 2765, to take part in the Reunification War.^[1] The 205th was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.

But the number wasn't on the ship - it was on the mech. The mech would have to be a relic from that unit - and even if it was - it surely would have been repainted to represent its new unit.

The insignia on the dropship art is that of the 3rd Free Worlds Legionnaries.

One of the devs said that the dropship artwork and the video are unrelated. The Marik colors are just something random FD picked
