I am hoping Mechwarrior Online will natively support multiple monitors. I have two widescreen 32" monitors side by side and it would be ultra-fantastic if the mech's interior was spanned across the two screens. It would be even more amazing if the far corners of each screen actually looked like the corners of one's peripherial vision if inside the mech.

Basically, I want to point out that large screens (and screens in general) are becoming cheaper and cheaper. On top of that, basically all video cards come with multiple monitor support built in - just plug two monitors into the numerous output ports of the graphics card and Windows 7 simply does the rest. What this means is that a large number of gamers have multiple screens these days. It would be a shame if Mechwarrior Online went the route of so many other games (including Tribes Ascend) and did not offer multiple monitor support.

Thanks for your time, consideration and hard work,

An oldschool mechwarrior fan (been playing since Mechwarrior 2)

multiple monitor support would be great. Especially 3 monitor support looking like how you described.

This is a GREAT IDEA!!! What better way to show off the size of the mechs then get us in a large multi monitor cockpit!

also an option to put the mech screen on one monitor and have the map overlay (/ other HUD output) up on the alternate monitor.

VERY FEW games have multiple monitor support. and the few that do, do a crappy job at it.

I would like to see my second screen have friendly/enemy mech readouts, a command map for setting way points and covrage zones, and chat.

Agree, this would make a fine addition. I have three 24" monitors and while it would be nice to have sideview on two of the monitors that might give an unfair advantage so having the option to have the map and other info on a second screen would be resonable, like in supreme commander 2.

At a minimum I would like 2 monitor support.

Like how my 2 monitors span the entire desktop. Currently, I have to leave TS3 open on the right because it is a smaller and older monitor....

I have 3 monitors set up in surround configuration, and MWO looks Gorgeous! Especially the Cicadia with that wrap-around window on the cockpit.

My understanding is that 3 monitor support was in the original design. Near the end of the article.

So has anyone heard if this has been implimented yet? If not, how far down the pipeline are we talking? I play on my laptop right now but I'm in the process of planning a major overhaul and cockpit construction and would really like to see 3 monitor support.

This is a good question. They said they would support multiple monitors but we've seen little of it.

I personally want a way to put the Command view on a second monitor, simple as that. That would be a great effective use of a 2nd monitor without really being unfair about it.

I want to tape a $20 mini wireless camera to the top of my mech pointing backwards so I can see sneaky light mechs trying to hurt my [R]CT on a second monitor.

Or even 2 big rear view mirrors. I could have 2 x 14" monitors to act the part. Either way, in my multi billion dollar nuclear powered death machine I would like something that tells me what is behind me when I back up.

I wish I knew what it was about the Cry engine that makes adding a rear view camera button so impossible to add. Living Legends couldn't do it, but I figured MW:O could with the source.. and they can't apparently do it, either.

It was such a helpful button in previous games. It puzzles me greatly that it's still missing. If it's the same issue LL had, it's a quirk with the engine and supporting objects with two "parts" or something to that effect.

I heard the same thing and my knowledge on the subject is way to low to understand the details. It really would be nice though.

If nothing else having the ability to keep the map and system status' up on a second screen would help a lot. If anyone played in the old cockpit pods in Seattle at Wizards of the Coast they would know what I mean by systems. It was an amazing set up to be able to do. I'm in the process of building a cockpit but if 3 screens won't be usable then I can save myself a bit of cash
