While I too would wish for beta, I'm also wanting more in-depth information on gameplay including videos, more Dev blogs, and of course trailers!!! While I wish for beta greatly, I want the Devs to take thier time. I'm sure everyone wants a polished product and not a crash inducing nightmare. So... Yes. More information. More videos. More trailers. If all these things are done well and right, It will more than whet my appetite for beta, and of course the game's actual release!

I've been a die hard TT player since early 1985, so when it comes to games, I've learned that patience can be rewarding, whether you're waiting for improvements to the game, or just stalking that poor unsuspecting Javelin pilot.....

I seriously doubt beta, but announcement of said beta might, and I stress *might*, be in the offering. However, I think Germ's got it right. In-game screenshots and video are what I think we're going to see. Maybe even some of the devs going at it on the GDC floor. No outside people, I don't think, but they'll want to prove they've got a working product in the alpha phase.

Beta, I think, is happening around May, perhaps, with June being more likely. Final product is anyone's guess.

I think we will see the rest of that teaser and get some nice screen shots. I wish i could go to GDC and bug them for a beta key lol.

Its gotta be enough to present something at GDC and more than just a few screens...

So yeah I think screen shots of mechs and game menus and information about its pillars, goals, and its F2P model. I also kinda expect to see an extended trailer with a serious reveal of gameplay. This will be the first expo of MWO so the devs will go for impact to create hype and excitement beyond the fans who are already salivating and selling organs to upgrade their PCs.

Im being conservative so I wouldnt be surprised at all if it was alot more.

As far as Beta or launch date or something of that nature.. Id be surprised if they go that far. They just had a 8v8 play test so they arent beta ready yet I think.

That was back in Jan 22nd. Going off this timeline we should expect something announced about beta no later than March 22nd. An announcement at GDC isn't too farfetched.

We haven't even past Mech Warfare month. BETA is out of the question guys, let's get real here.
I'm confident that we will see a Trailer(s) and hoping that we can watch a little bit of the Press Demo, which is unedited gameplay.

Maybe, but the biggest hype they could possibly generate for themselves at GDC would be with a beta test announcement.

Daeron having a heart attack from the mass wave of awesome he is going to see, then being invited by PGI to tour the studio because they feel bad for the old man

New Footage, new mechs, new art. anything new is always nice. Perhaps an interview or two.
Betas are always nice to announce too.

Last I heard he is still lined up with a press pass through some close contacts (not PGI like everyone thinks though) and he should be attending GDC. The last part was a bit of a joke due to him being old, got to get some jabs in when you can.

We go a bit more in depth in the most recent episode of the cast, including saying we will try to do a episode on the floor of GDC, but no promises.

Also sometimes take what I say with a grain of salt, sarcasm does not always tend to travel well online and I am sometimes often a sarcastic / joking person.

They can still announce beta tomorrow, only that it would start May-June. It doesn't actually have to start next week.

But as someone already quoted, they said in Jan to expect a beta statement within 60 days. Well, we are in March already

Besides, they claimed that they are going to reveal a lot of things during the GDC so I'm hoping for a lot more than just a trailer and snips of unedited gameplay. tbh, not exactly gagging for beta though, they are usually riddled with bugs, unstable and generally unfun. I just want gameplay videos, thank you very much!

Ah okay. He'd better get going if he wants to make it in time! GDC starts tomorrow.
Any Idea why he "should" be attending and why he's not "Absolutely" attending?

Well, due to our current 'teaser' trailer using engine rendered assets. My hopes would be (pre)alpha footage of the Devs' play tests that they've been doing just to give us something. Even though they haven't implemented ammo I wouldn't care, just to see them duking it out would be enough for me.
