And unlike the small minded rabble rousers, I can acknowledge the expanded prosperity brought upon us by the wisdom of my cousin, the late Archon Katrina Steiner, and Prince Hanse Davion, in creating this great realm. We have the economic might of our traditional Lyran state combined with the scientific and intellictual returns of the NAIS and other institutions Hanse Davion so wisely promoted.
Even militarily, we prosper, with the use of RCTs, and their insight replacing the nepotism and Social Generals of the past.
Embrace the greatness brought to us by TWO great Houses, and TWO great realms. United, no one can stand against us.

B - B - But I like the social generals. Who do you think so generously retrofitted my forward command vehicle to act as a mobile party center?

Indeed! 80 ton scout mechs for all and constantly getting plastered in battle by the Dracs!

Not to be rude, but perhaps babelfish is not being your friend today.
What part didn't make sense?
The joke about how before the Davions came along house Steiner units had very poor results on the battlefield against the Draconis Combine, or the fact that Steiner mech units have a reputation of being overly heavy, with their command not knowing how to use light fast mechs?

Blasphemy!!! Who are you to say our beloved Archon is dead?! It's only 3049 and even the Fox is still alive.

"On 15 March, at the start of the War of 3039, Katrina abdicated in favor of Melissa. She died peacefully on 4 January 3040, less than a year later."
Melissa Steiner has been the Archon for just over a decade, with the late Katrina Steiner having been beyond this mortal coil for nearly as long...

Sadly, Archon Katrina Steiner passed away on January 4, 3040, at the young age of 64.

Fortunately, her daughter, Mellisa Arthur Steiner-Davion is still enjoying vigorous health, and has 5 strapping children to carry on the Empire. And yes, the Fox is enjoying his usual robust health also.

Well, we did get Prince Victor Steiner-Davion from the deal. (He is alive now, right?) I'd call that something good....

The Union of Davion and Steiner was a joyous day for all free peoples of the Inner Sphere not simply because it brought together two groups of free peoples into friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, but because what was created represents so much more.
It represents the first step towards the reunification of the Star League. It represents an end to the senseless and overwhelming carnage of the succession wars, and the terror of Kurita and Capellan invaders. It represents a future of progress driven by Lyran Industry, partnered with New Avalon science.
I dream of a future where our children and our children's children can grow up free from the presence of war. I dream of a future where our children enjoy an unparalleled quality of life thanks to rediscovered Star League-era technology and new innovations from the NAIS. The Federated Commonwealth is that future. There will be pains along the way and indeed we already deal with many of these problems every day; The militaries of the Federated Commonwealth still fail to cooperate effectively as a singular force against our enemies.
No doubt the Kurita and Capellan snakes just salivate at the thought of tearing our great union apart (and of course they would given the danger it presents to their despotic civilizations). Yet what would be the result if we allowed this endeavor to falter? The fracturing of this great union would be a tremendous event that would inevitably lead to chaos and destruction throughout the Lyran Commonwealth. A weakened Commonwealth would be ripe prey for the jealous Dracs, always watching, always waiting.
We must never forget what we're building here. We're building the future.
