The Blood Asp won't be around till 3059, so 10 years from now.

Being twenty-five (myself), I was pretty young when I first got my glimpse of what a "Mech" was; I played Mechwarrior 2 and obviously associated the aforementioned cherry popping experience with the inarguable icon of Mechwarrior itself, the Mad Cat.

It's a great icon, and personally, I like it moreso than a humanoid styled armor - the Mad Cat conveys that it's a predatory death machine through basic comprehension of what weapons delivery systems look like and by the actual overall design - inverted legs are often associated with "predator", naturally.

I may be younger than some of the gentlemen around here, but I don't recognize a Mech as being a Gundam - a ************* Mech is a Mad Cat.

I admit I never got into the back stories, novels or other parts of the MechWarrior universe. I just always enjoyed the games. I loved driving the MadCat because my build was fast and could compete at any range. I always had fun in it. I paid my 120.00 gladly because I assumed that if there was gonna be a new MechWarrior game it would be crazy not to include this iconic mech. I don't know about the history and I don't want to sound like I'm being insensitive to the fans that care deeply about the backstory because I get that it's important. I just really want to drive a Mad Cat again and hope I don't have to wait a year or more to do it. Hope everyone is having fun on the battlefield.

Fun fact: the MAD CAT is one of the most expensive mech out there costing 24,233,124 C-bills!
