Specifically? Control of an Axeman or a Manticore.

Betty as my computers voice
Or better yet Duncan Fisher talking smack (up to rated R stuff!) about my performance no matter how well I do for the computer voice.</p>

how bout one beter have Sammuel l jackson use there voice as well as betty and duncan fisher to make a series of voices sets for the mech cpus

i also like the idea of the trash talking cpu as the cpu is in essence the voice of the mech

lines i will like to hear the most

"Fool, you scrached my paint arnt you eaven trying?!"

"Ohh, Heck no you just missed with them LRM's want me to do everything for you?!"

my favorite "Last i checked this was a battle not a dance?!"

or Lee Ermey

"Holy ****, you call yourself a Mechwarrior! My Grandma Pilots mechs better than you!"

"Hit that Target like you got a pair!"

Cause nothing say win like a Mechpilots CPU motivating him the whole battle

Aside from the great ideas already mentioned, it occured to me (inspired by a thread in a different forum) that...

I would pay a regular subscription or one-time flat fee for priority access to an officially sponsored and maintained VOIP program that included direct access to customer service. A kind of globalized community chat that is maintained and operated by PGI/IGP with channels for getting help from other players such as advice and strategies, and a way for contacting a CSR to get immediate help on tech or in-game problems; and a way to quickly get into pre-made teams without having to join a specific group.

The ability to walk around in a city outside of your 'Mech and interact with other people in said environment.

I would like to see some social elements you could either buy or get awarded as/for acheivements.
Like...

- A Monocle and Top hat for your mech
- Tramp makeup for your Atlas (blush and eyeshadow)
- A Cowboy hat with spurs
- Clown makeup with red wig

Maybe make them limited to certain game modes or have them slightly increase your chance of being spotted - its the price of looking cool/stupid.

Cheers

I'm sure everthing has been put in but from my experience of F2P games usuals tend to be

Cosmetics. Paint, decorations, avatar, color alterations of lasers,

Boosts, XP and money and other things like that.

Custom frames, more slots, and names,

What should not be available. Clan tech, Were inner sphear right now. Clan tech isn't even concieved. That didn't become available untill the inner sphear started fighting back, sabotoging and otherwise stealing it (I hope melee combat come availablef before this, Clan see melee combat as dirty, and savage, this gave the inner sphear a small advantage in close quarters combat) Plus this should be a mark of honor, not power.

Over all, power should not be available. You want things to put in that won't alter damage, armor, or other things (unless its pve) You want things that say 'i like you guys so much that my atlas is painted pink with a tramp stamp and monocule n peakock plume' I hope it helps.

It has probably been said about 50 times. But I'll repeat.

I'd love single player missions to play with personal friends. Like, Lance/Star based. Rewards should be less than PVP, but it would be really rad to play the game every now and then casual with people I actually know.

But make them difficult.

Painfully difficult.

something nice would be the abilty to do a ground up mech build of your own. To have a shop where you can buy mech parts and custom build in the bay. not that something like this should be cheap but for the top end players as an added bonus

Yeah... a single player or co-operative mode would be really nice. Speaking of which, would also be great if we had a 'skirmish mode' for single player against A.I. for practice and things like that or if the game is offline, but we need our MWO fix, you know.

Different 'Mech computer voices (male/female, accents, tone etc.) would be awesome... that is, assuming they have them to begin with.

changing colors of the lasers and missiles would be a good way to make money. and just like many free-to-play games do is working with credits instead of real money it gives the player the feeling they can do more with less money (this doesn't have to be true).

i play a few games myself and i see what i have seen in Star Trek Online (Cryptic Studios) is that they change the appearance of the ships.
So you could change the appearance of the mech in exchange for some money, so your mech would look much more cooler but isn't stronger at all.

what you also could do is creating private maps that can be hosted by players (members) in exchange for some money. or maps that can be hosted by an entire faction. so they can choose which map they fight and the weather conditions and stuff.

a giant light saber for my mech would be nice :)

and some crocks you gotta have shoes man your mech cant't be tramping around all the time with no shoes on.

on a serious note i would pay a little extra for a campaign mode maybe co-op campaign also, seeming as we never got mech warrior 5.

This game is free-to-play. They've already said that they aren't going to sell anything that gives a player an advantage, and I guess that means mechs and weapons. But these guys have to make money! So let's help them! Tell them what you WOULD buy. Please don't post here what you wouldn't buy here, so this can be an entirely positive thread for the devs to look at.

1) Custom Decals. Let's face it, people want custom decals. But nobody (few people) want to see some guy's... member painted onto a mech, or Naruto (not that I don't like it, mind), or something of the sort. The answer is surprisingly simple. Make it so that custom decals can be uploaded, but they have to be approved by a moderator first. So let me write out a little scenario of how it could work.
i) Select to upload/purchase a custom decal.
ii) Try to submit it. If it's the wrong filetype, wrong number of colors, wrong resolution, etc., it will be automatically rejected.
iii) Select a color for the alpha channel. Or use some build-in tool to overlay an opacity, or whatever.
iv) Pay $2.
v) A moderator will approve or disapprove the image. If the image is disapproved, he may give a suggestion on how it should be changed to for approval. Is the quality too lacking? Is it too close to something popular from another franchise? If the disapproved image is edited appropriately, upon the next upload no payment would be required.
vi) The custom decal can now be placed on any of your assets just like a normal decal.
vii) The alpha channel can be edited afterward, but nothing else.
viii) If the image needs to be updated, it can be for another $1 and another approval. The new version will replace all old versions.

2) Cockpit accessories. Me and Bitey were having a conversation in another MechWarrior game today, and he said his cockpit would be filled with trash if he were actually a mechwarrior. You know, empty bottles, candy wrappers, etc.. He said he'd love it if he had to dig through all the trash to find the eject lever, and he'd be willing to pay for it in MWO. I didn't know if he's gonna post in this topic, so I may as well throw it in here.
i) This could be combined with the previous suggestion to allow 3D-modeled objects to be used in your cockpit. They would never need to be uploaded to any other players because they're in a cockpit, so it wouldn't be a problem with bandwidth. MWO would just verify the file with what had been uploaded and approved (for maybe $4, since it's a bit more work to check the multiple textures, shapes, etc.) before each mission.

3) Music. MechWarrior II had a bonkers-awesome soundtrack. I want another one, but with longer tracks. Give a bunch of stock tunes, and as the musicians make more, make us pay for them if we want to hear them in-game. It could be set to automatically lower the volume when in-game voice is being used, or TS3, or something.

Come on, guys! Let's get creative for them. List things you want to or wouldn't mind paying for, not things you dread buying.

you could add a mp3 interface in your mech that would let you choose music or playlists. i know winamp had some game interfaces. different paint skins would be nice. A room in the mechbay where you could track your battles and see your stats mabe. a pilot creation option where you could configure your "MECHWARRIOR". in cockpit options would be sweet, as stated before, mabe some fuzzy dice nutrition suppliment rappers and wet wipe boxes as well. mabe some options in maximum tech or other manuals like blue shield, blazer armor, ppc inhibiters, and hot loaded lrms. these things will help players play a different style with what they like but not give them too much of an advantage.
different cockpit layouts, mech bay styles like drops ship mechbay different mechbay/repair faciclity layouts. a campain layout where you could fight battles for planets by moving into a planet room and have wins/losses tracked and planetary stats tracked so you could be part of the innersphere wars and such.
access to solaris 7, matches and championships, select new mechs that come out.

No doubt this has been covered already, but I might as well chime in with my two C-bills.

I could see paying for cosmetic things, like camo, paint jobs, custom titles, interior cockpit trinkets, and perhaps even themed mech hangars with various decorations.

So long as any pay-to-win stuff absolutely stays a no-no, all is well. I'd of course be happy to buy an actual SP campaign.

My guess there will be cosmetic items as well as xp boosters and cash for credits (mechwarrior bucks) Personally id like some glue that you can throw on the ground to snag light mechs...damn jenners. Or maybe weapon slot in the back of your mech. All this is a joke btw.

I like the idea of custom mech looks i wuld defo pay to mod the look of my mech also i wuld play to be able to change slots on a mech like say if a mech has missile balistic and enery slot the chance to change one of the slots ( e.g balsitc) to a diffarent type wuld be cool but from watching my brother play it looks like they have done a good job of load out customisation

P.s sorry for bad spelling :D

lol just seen another i agree with and thats wepons on the back of mechs like artilary guns with epic range
