First attempt at a Battletech model. Any helpful feedback would be...helpful. It's a Daishi(Direwolf) and took about 3 days to complete. Let me know what you guys think

It's a good first attempt! The overall shape and some details are spot-on. However, the mesh itself seems terrible. There are all kinds of artifacts all over the place. Would you mind posting a wire render of some sort?
Btw, why did you post a screenshot instead of the final picture itself? You can do that with Image > Save Image as...

First of all, when you render something, upload the rendered picture itself, not a screenshot. Just click on the "Image" (left side, the upper bar at the bottom), then "Save as Image" and only then upload the picture.
Then you should probably try to work a bit on lights, it's really important for anything to look any good.
I will tell my bro, he's "a tad" better in Blender and could help you with many problems this model has.

If I remember how they look (it's been since 1990 since I saw one) then you did a good job. If they bring the Daishi into the game it will be a big pain to kill. That omni-mech rocks!

Looks great for a first attempt but something looks off with its left leg.. Like its a little to far away from the center when compared to the other.

It doesn't look very... symmetrical. Obviously it wont be perfect with the missile rack, but like the left and right shoulder seem way to different as does the leg placement, could just be the angle though.
Otherwise though, nice.

Yeah sure.....a tad better.
1. I would suggest adding a ground plate, or subsurfed cilinder (so you wont have to scale that plate 100 times).
However if you want background to blend with the site, dont add ground. You will have to save image as PNG (JPG doesnt have this option) and select RGBA instead of RGB and change background alpha to 0 (you can ajust alpha just under R, G, and B values).
2. Try out cycles render engine.
3. Add edge split modifier.
4. Try adding bevel modifier on flat parts of mech (like his feet).
5. On top of his rocket launcher...there is something weird going on. It looks like when 2 faces are on same place. If it is not just material and there are really two faces on each other try deleting one of them.
6. Try hitting recalculate. Because on some places it looks like faces are not directed the right way.
7. On top of his feet there is flat plate and rest of his legs are just going into it. It doesnt look realistic. Try inseting it and extruding it inwards, so it will look like rest of his legs are going somewhere.

Tried cleaning the mesh up a bit, posted some wireframes. Should have fixed at least some of the artifacting. Also put an edge split modifier on it. Many thanks for all the feedback

I think it looks pretty good. I used the Daishi a ton in MechWarrior 4 mercenaries. Its one of my favorites.
