Has mech warrior 5 come out yet? And if so, how do I download it, cause I can't find a link to down load anything. Please tell me, cause this looks like a great game and I would love to play. If you have any info, post in on my account.

Thanks,
Ep1cPwnM0nk3y

The game hasn't been released yet. Summer 2012.

It seems to reflect most other BattleTech games in terms of pilot controls. Looks simple enough. I just need to see if I can handle them the way I used to back in the day. Perhaps a few crash courses will help...

will the controls be configurable?
Im not loving that layout and I tend to use a rather unsual setup in most games.

Yeah,im wait this game 7-8 ears))))
that`s interesting info, but can player`s(pilot`s) re-bind controls for they`r own choise? For example:in MW4 i bind weapon group management on mouse wheel and mouse add.buttons(it SO easy to use). And +1 question - What about joystick`s??

Sorry for my english. %))

Oh man I'm excited. I'm actually looking forward to spending a few hours shopping for a joystick and throttle setup like I did for Mechwarrior 2. I wish I had more time to get to Kirkland to go to the Airlock and play Mechwarrior in the pods.

Looks Awesome! Please release a control scheme for my Saitek X52 Pro flight system. that would really make the game feel more realistic using the throttle and mapping firing schemes to the numerous triggers and buttons.

You should check out your keyboard, something is wrong with it.

Also, read the thread ;).

They create browser-based games for Facebook for instance.

Its nice to see how close they've stayed to the other 'Mech-games (for the PC) regarding the keyboard lay-out and use. It resembles my expectations closely. Easy basics, and the more intricate manouvres need some good keyboard controls. Can't wait to try it out!

Two mentions of TrackIR in this thread, so I'll come out and ask specifically:

PC Gamer's online preview said the following:

PC Gamer]In terms of the in-cockpit experience, on I was glad to see free-look in there, but even happier to see separate crosshairs that independently correspond to where torso-mounted weapons and arm-mounted weapons are pointed. In other words, if I turn to aim at an enemy up on a ridge at my 10 o’clock, I probably wouldn’t rotate my entire body to face them—I’d just aim my arms, and maybe only have access to a few lasers rather than my full loadout.[b, said:

TrackIR support is also confirmed, thank goodness.[/b]

Emphasis mine. Can we get a confirmation from a Staff member here that TrackIR is going to be supported in this title? I don't like trusting the gaming "press" with anything.

Hopefully we'll be able to remap the keys?

X and C would be horrible for throtle reset and torso center. I'd rather map to Q and E. Worse yet, T for target toggle? How about Tab like every other MMO out there?

Otherwise everything else looks great.

What games released on "only" PC don't have remappable controls ? Other than say a point and click adventure or browser game etc, every game lets you re-map controls, its a no brainer for a pc title.

Console ports have a habit of not allowing re-maping of controls or changing graphical settings...or if they do its usually a very poor implementation of it....MWO is no console port thank god ;)

Also before anyone else decides to not read the thread first...

Yes Joysticks will be supported....!!!!

The only thing I'm left wondering is how to I custom config to use the numpad for movement and twisting with my right hand.

Reading over this at first I was a little dispointed (was hoping for more detail like the other Dev Blogs) but I kept reading and I like what I read. All the basic info I expected to be here is here, but this bit really caught my eye:

View PostInnerSphereNews, on 07 March 2012 - 11:03 AM, said:

If the enemy ’Mech takes cover behind anything other than a ’Mech, so as not to be seen by the player or any of the player’s allies who can relay targeting information to him, for a few seconds, all of the targeting information and the red triangle disappear and need to be reestablished from the beginning of the process.

I am really happy to see this feature. Good Work Dev's. Simple yet effective and all wrapped up in an intuitive (and customisable) UI! :-D

It's already been confirmed. You CANNOT remap keys. You have to use the buttons they assign you, and not only that you'll be forced to only using stereo speakers (no 5.1/7.1) and your mouse HAS to be both beige in color and have a maximum of 3 buttons (scroll wheels will not be supported)

...
..
.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed your complimentary burning. :D

THAT ROTS !!!!!! I am twisting in the wind!
