From what I've heard via various ways: Alpha within next 30 days and Beta sometime in the summer.
Alpha is generally closed and very select people from what I understand with any game.

You're lucky it's GDC this week, and there is a remote chance there might be news about this, so I'll keep this thread open until GDC is over.
