Curon vs Trireaper:

Round 1: Curon gets demolished by Trireaper's Arrow IV.
Round 2: Curon picks the fastest 'Mech he can and decides to get sneaky. Manages to evade Trireaper's sensors and visual for about ninety seconds before actual combat began. Curon then commenced to run around Trireaper (who was in an Arrow IV-laden MadCat Mk2) and blast away with SRMs. I think he hit my Owens all of twice with those Large Lasers.
Round 3: Curon tries the same thing, only to take a Fafnir to the knee.

That was quite fun.

And funny to watch.

We're not spam-recruiting like other zerg units.

^_^

What qualifies for this designation?

Ugh... that was a fun match though even though it only consisted of me turning my mech and him running around me like it was nothing.

Also, props to him for having the balls to use a light against an assault.

Be fortunate he didn't use an Urbanmech. You would never be permitted to live that down.

^_^ the owens isn't that far up the humiliation ladder from the urbie. I missed the last round of that match (glad you're up and running Dumat!), so I'm happy you guys posted the summary. That match will live in infamy for Trireaper. I've got it marked on the calendar.

"The day Trireaper got spanked despite a 50 ton difference". Good thing we've got your back in a real match, champ.

Congrats on winning the match!

I have to be honest, I find picking a slow sniper for a duel a foolish move.
It's one on one, there is no one to be the bait and keep the sniper clear.

But it was humorous too watch, so good on you anyway.

Firefly: I would have cried if he beat me with an Urbie
Psycho: To be honest, if I wouldn't have gotten lucky and snuck up on him and hit him in the knee with the LBX20, it probably would have been the exact same thing as the second match.

To be perfectly serious and honest, I need to see that video between myself and Trireaper's Mad Cat MkII. I have a feeling I need to start up speed-control drills in Light 'Mechs again, as it seems I might have lost my touch during that fight. In MW4, I used to be nigh-on-untouchable in a Custom Osiris. While it is hilarious to watch Trireaper's 'Mech trying to draw a bead on my Owens, I need to see from a third-party perspective what I'm doing wrong.

Standby, uploading it to YT. I will post the video in the Trials thread at the MWO section of our forums shortly.

We do this in football. We watch videos of performances, both ours and opposition. I think it might help, in some way, with e-sports matches, too.

By the way:
Congrats to Psychotick for winning the Trial of Position for a lance leadership role. Also congratulations to Trireaper, Curon Hifor, and Guido for winning their MWO division leadership roles (CO, XO, 1SG respectively).

I think we reinforced that teamwork is essential and prevents this awesome beat-down tactical maneuver from happening.

Hey guys, I'm very interested in signing on with you, but for whatever reason, it will not allow me to log into your forums after I have registered my account. Any ideas?
