Three gold bars and a star. That's a bit pompous, don't you think?

the biggest surprise to me is that the recruits are consistently above the bar BWC sets.

We have one or two utter morons slip through but they quickly enter my three-metre kill zone. But we *only* contact the recruits we want. At least I do. Dunno about you others. I try not to be like other merc units and send a message to every single person in an effort to win at the intarwebz.

My quality lance will completely prison-rape sodomize their battalion of REMF scrubs.

When he says 'quality lance' he means Hammer lance...just want to get that out of the way.

I was glad to be selected for BWC. They are one of the most organized companies I have known. If your a new guy looking to be the best, this should be your first stop. http://the-bwc.com/s...x.php?board=4.0 Our recruitment forum will get you started by answering alot of your questions and allowing you to post a application. BC is not for everyone, however, if you are the type of person who values teamwork over selfishness, sacrifice for the greater goal, and a need to be with like minded people; you might want to check us out.

It's never been a 'bad' word, just an awkward word.

Nice use of acronyms Psycho ;)

The only lance capable of taking out a battalion though is Fist. Anvil and Hammer would be shredded by the sheer volume of fire from a battalion of mechs. Fist can remove them without being in direct line of sight the whole time. Case and Point.

Greetings

First off, to the Vets of your group, thank you for your service. Very much appreciated.

The reason for this post is not because I want to join up but because I'd like to make a suggestion.

What do you think about your group having an outreach program to returning combat vets who maybe having trouble acclimating to civilian life again?

The military type structure and support you could provide might make a big difference in their lives.

Food for thought.

I'm looking forward to running into you guys/gals on the Battlefield.....or maybe not !! ;)

Not sure what you're suggesting here. Are you talking about developing a room within MWO's website to help veterans acclimate to civilian life, or a charity program to help pay for some group therapy for veterans who have a hard time acclimating?

What he's suggesting is forming some form of promotion or outreach program.

What this means is that we send emails, messages, whatever to returning Veterans (from overseas deployments, etc) to join our group and play video games with us. With our military organization focused on video games and comradeship, it could be used as an effective means of helping soldiers re-acclimate themselves to civilian life by providing a pseudo military environment for them to interact with on a daily basis. This could work similar to the yellow-ribbon program.

The only problem I see with this is that we wouldn't be an official function, nor could we be recognized in any way by the US Armed Forces nor the US Government, which provide a lot of resources to helping soldiers readjust to their civilian lives.

Might be doable.

Whatever you feel would be best, but I was thinking more on the lines of having a them in fighting units within BWC, surround them with former Vets, get them involved in those alpha shots, chain of command, administration of the group? Whatever. Give them a place where they can blow off some steam and talk with other Vets all the while enjoying the games and functions your group is involved with.

I think you guys/gals because of your backgrounds could really be a positive force to those returning home who are into the niche of Gaming or can be introduced to Computer Gaming for the first time.

I'd be down with helpin vets for sure...got a few in my family even. That being said, picking up this type of of program would require some serious commitment and dedication on another level entirely. This would be a rather large responsibility with real-life repercussions that we may not even be qualified enough to handle, as some people may require therapy or help beyond what we can provide to meet their expectations. We provide a good environment that welcomes vets (and others) with open arms already, but I am not sure that expanding this into a mission of public service would be in the best interests of either the vets or us...after all, many of our vets at the end of their day just want to play to forget about their own issues too I am sure. I speak only for my non-vet self here, and not for anyone else in the Company.

Some food for thought for sure and I thank you for it...if nothing else it never hurts to be thinking of new ways to help our vets and who knows, maybe there is something we can do as a Company.

I've gotta go with thornn on this one. We provide a pretty decent military structure while keeping the company informal, but at the end of the day we take care of our own and provide an atmosphere where everyone can have fun. I don't know if we can provide much more than that, or that it would even be beneficial to our members.

This is something that a few of us have discussed, in private. Many of us are combat veterans. I am a member of the Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. I volunteer and donate to both of those organizations and I donate to Wounded Warrior.

See ya later, Lobo! Thanks for the suggestion.
