We have one or two utter morons slip through but they quickly enter my three-metre kill zone. But we *only* contact the recruits we want. At least I do. Dunno about you others. I try not to be like other merc units and send a message to every single person in an effort to win at the intarwebz.
My quality lance will completely prison-rape sodomize their battalion of REMF scrubs.

The only lance capable of taking out a battalion though is Fist. Anvil and Hammer would be shredded by the sheer volume of fire from a battalion of mechs. Fist can remove them without being in direct line of sight the whole time. Case and Point.

First off, to the Vets of your group, thank you for your service. Very much appreciated.
The reason for this post is not because I want to join up but because I'd like to make a suggestion.
What do you think about your group having an outreach program to returning combat vets who maybe having trouble acclimating to civilian life again?
The military type structure and support you could provide might make a big difference in their lives.
Food for thought.
I'm looking forward to running into you guys/gals on the Battlefield.....or maybe not !!

Not sure what you're suggesting here. Are you talking about developing a room within MWO's website to help veterans acclimate to civilian life, or a charity program to help pay for some group therapy for veterans who have a hard time acclimating?

What this means is that we send emails, messages, whatever to returning Veterans (from overseas deployments, etc) to join our group and play video games with us. With our military organization focused on video games and comradeship, it could be used as an effective means of helping soldiers re-acclimate themselves to civilian life by providing a pseudo military environment for them to interact with on a daily basis. This could work similar to the yellow-ribbon program.
The only problem I see with this is that we wouldn't be an official function, nor could we be recognized in any way by the US Armed Forces nor the US Government, which provide a lot of resources to helping soldiers readjust to their civilian lives.
Might be doable.

Whatever you feel would be best, but I was thinking more on the lines of having a them in fighting units within BWC, surround them with former Vets, get them involved in those alpha shots, chain of command, administration of the group? Whatever. Give them a place where they can blow off some steam and talk with other Vets all the while enjoying the games and functions your group is involved with.
I think you guys/gals because of your backgrounds could really be a positive force to those returning home who are into the niche of Gaming or can be introduced to Computer Gaming for the first time.

Some food for thought for sure and I thank you for it...if nothing else it never hurts to be thinking of new ways to help our vets and who knows, maybe there is something we can do as a Company.

This is something that a few of us have discussed, in private. Many of us are combat veterans. I am a member of the Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. I volunteer and donate to both of those organizations and I donate to Wounded Warrior.
