How I've improved at my game after joining BWC.

Through the different trainings in BWC that I've taken my game has improved greatly. Now when I approach a team game I am looking at it from tactically and strategically. Instead of going lone wolfing and just thinking about myself and my own personal stats, I think about how I can help my team, and how we can work together as a coordinated team to accomplish tasks. I am no longer Decake when I play a game, I am a member of BWC and that matters.

How I've improved at my game after joining BWC

How has my game improved?

The most noticeable change has been my reaction time to new orders and ability to give quick orders. It used to take me awhile to decide a course of action and weight the possible outcomes, but now as we play I am able to make those decisions faster and that can make the difference between winning or losing a point.

How I've improved at my game after joining BWC

Being with BWC has without a doubt improved my skills. BWC training has taught me tactics that can be used in-game and more importantly it has provided a team that can help me out if needed. The training is top notch and available to all players and run constantly. It provides a good challenge that definitely helps in improving scouting, brawling, and general tactics. Communication is also a big factor that has helped my gameplay. Scouts gathering important information and relaying it proves invaluable in any fight and BWC in my opinion has some of the best out there. A strong team has only made me better.

How my game has improved since joining BWC... In some of my other posts I've talked about the willingness of other Company members and officers to help out. Well, that's been -huge-. The training you get in the Company, even the offhand helpful suggestions have really improved my gameplay overall. I'm still new to PlanetSide 2 and the others (and of course, Star Citizen isn't out yet). That being said, I've noticed my survivability and kills going up, and my overall skill increasing. I feel like I've got some really good tools to focus on improving my gameplay. And again, the way in which my team gives you help--you're not made to feel bad for not knowing things already, you're not looked down upon or treated poorly. For example, one of the Officers, Iliod, after one of the trainings called me over and gave me some great advice on being a PS 2 combat medic, and how to improve my marksmanship just becuase I was talking about struggling with that (In my previous MMOs as a healer, DPS wasn't something you generally did while healing). Everyone is totally focused on "one team, one fight" in every way, and that really increases one's morale and motivation to improve.

How I've improved at my game after joining BWC

I no longer fall victim to being a lone-wolf, have members to cover my 6, and vice versa. Coordinated attacks, and organized defenses improve my KDR as well as my overall enjoyment in the games played. The training has expedited my skills beyond what I could of accomplished in the same time, if at all.

I’ve greatly improved my game play with BWC. For all supported games, they have a dedicated training staff that has organized and developed training to help players get better. In some cases training are specific to a particular role or mission set. Other trainings are really qualifications to ensure folks are performing at an acceptable level. Later on courses are designed to groom operation leaders and instructors.

After joining BWC I can honestly say that my game play improved vastly. The quality of players in BWC working together and helping each other out, simply put. Makes everyone better. The specialized units within each of the divisions go even further with this. The training and exercises done in between operations makes the game play experience even better. I wish I had joined BWC sooner!

Training. The training BWC provides is amazing and you will learn the basic and advanced concepts of your primary game as long as you participate in the training sessions. There is nothing more amazing then seeing our tactics used on the large-scale side. Small groups will be trained and you will see it come all together on the battlefield. I improved on game mechanics when it came to PS2, working as a team in MWO, and PvP and leadership in PotBS. No matter what your primary game in the BWC, we have you covered.

A lot of people here have already mentioned BWC's trainings, which of course are a huge help for anyone looking to improve their game. I think the the really awesome thing, though, is that everyone actually sticks to those drills when the boots hit the ground. It's a really awesome feeling to know that you're alongside an entire platoon of people who have the same knowledge base, same target, and same skills that you do.

On a personal level, I can say that BWC has made a measurable difference in my in-game leadership skills. The first couple of times I got tapped to run a group if was a little bit of "trial by fire", but BWC encourages novices to step up and build that kind of experience. I've seen other people around me go through the same process, too - it really does feel like we're one team improving collectively.

How I've improved at my game after joining BWC.

I've been gaming for many years across many different platforms and genres. I consider myself a fairly good gamer. I'm certainly not one of the best, but I am skilled, and I generally find ways to be better than most. So when I joined BWC I had this idea that I was going to join a group of people who were similarly skilled as me. I was extremely surprised. Not all BWC members are great gamers, BUT they all have something that most regular gamers just don't have. Teamwork. And not the standard line of teamwork. I'm talking about a tight knit community that constantly develops and improves the way they play games to maximize their winning potential and lethality to have the most fun while kicking the most ***. And BWC has figured out ways to do this that I've never seen before in gaming.

BWC has training. Real training. You might think you are the best and you don't need it, but trust me, if you pay attention and actually try to learn something, your game will improve a TON. And it's not just because of skill. It's because BWC members and leadership has played the game and spent hours upon hours experimenting and coming up with the best ways for a TEAM to completely DOMINATE whatever game they are playing. They put together training that is geared towards this end. We are talking about players that not only enjoy gaming and winning, but actually spend copious amounts of time figuring the game out and finding the strengths and weaknesses and ways to maximize our benefit from them. The combined raw experience and dedication of BWC members and leadership is incredible.

Being able to game with BWC has been an entirely new experience that I will never want to let go. My game has improved immensely both in personal skill and team skill. But honestly, what sets BWC apart is their dedication to being the best at whatever game they are playing and have fun doing what wins. As if winning wasn't fun enough, BWC tries to push the envelope to find a way to have more fun winning more of the time. I am having trouble putting it into words. You'd really have to check it out yourself.

For gameplay improvement I would have to go with the training exercises. I'm talking fully fledged, live fire, meticulously designed war games, that have various degrees of difficulty levels and/or advanced specializations. Those BWC guys are masters at this. A lot of effort is placed into designing the training and teaching it.

I only had a couple weeks experience when I joined. So I received a lot of training, a lot of feedback, and a lot of practice which improved me greatly! On top of that, I built the experience and confidence to lead others to stronger performances.

Your most memorable moment with BWC.

I have not been here as long as most people, but I think my most memorable would be all the fund raisers. We had a Fund raiser where we spoke to Sandi Gardiner from Star Citizen and had exclusive information provided to us. This shows how involved BWC get's with the games and the community.

In MWO I would add to show how BWC got involved in the making of this fantastic 12v12 release video for MWO

Your most memorable moment with BWC.

Shortly after joining BWC, BWC ran a Company-internal tournament. It sounded like a good time, so I threw my hat into the ring and competed for a slot in the single-elimination tournament. That afternoon I took part in a hilarious, fun, free-for-all style fight. It was challenging, fast-paced, and involved twitch-reaction and on-the-fly strategizing.

Here’s the event, recorded and commented on by our Public Affairs team: http://www.twitch.tv...any/b/435957100

As it happens, I ended up winning the melee and won a spot in the Trial of Bloodright. Shortly after I won, I was approached by a couple of different members of the Company who pointed out some of my weak areas and offered ways to improve. Over the next week, while I waited for the first round of the Trial, I practiced with different members of the Company and enrolled in an advanced skills training course. Everyone, both my competition within the Company and those who planned on spectating, was very supportive and offered to run with me and give feedback.

The Rocky’esq story ends at Round 1, unfortunately, but even though I lost that round and was knocked out of the tournament, I had a blast and learned some sly techniques that I’ve been able to apply to my normal gaming. When BWC holds the next tournament, I’ll definitely reenter.

So if any of that sounds interesting, the planned competitions, a community interested in pushing you to be better, a place to learn about your game and meet people from all over the world, then swing by and check us out.

A great moment in my BWC time: Dropping all evening. Doing Okayish. About 50-50 on wins and losses. But all the time, somehow, I get pegged by the other group as primary, and I go down soon in the game. We all know it, we all hate it. But then. Somehow, something has shifted. Not sure how, but I keep seeing enemy mechs running across my firing line. So I shoot. Headshot, heh. Legged two others. Excellent, feeling good. Then I get a light behind me, can't shake it. My teammate runs to my rescue, kills of the li'l ******, only to go down in LRM's himself. As he whimpers "Avenge me!!!" I reposition, and kill one of the boats with a gauss. Feels good! Keep moving. Yike! Where did that one come from?? He turns, wrong way (poor man), and vaporizes. My last teammate goes down in a one-on-one, freakily enough killing his enemy at the same time with a well timed SSRM. Just me against the last one. And when that one goes down, my headphones explode in a cacaphony of cheering and applauding  teammates. My ears are ringing, my face smiling. Who can lose with seven coaches and buddies on his shoulder each and every time?

Your most memorable moment with BWC.

I am still relatively new to the outfit. I am one month in. My most memorable moment with BWC actually doesn't come from any one game and it happened last night. Upon entering a channel populated with several members we began a conversation that spanned such theory crafting issues as gravity on ships in Star Citizen, space ship bathroom logistics, and hoped for design features. The conversation then rambled through theory and practice of religion, epistemic notions of belief and the ethics of killing, including children combatants. I know you probably think that is very odd. Here is what was truly memorable to me: the conversation was carried on in a quiet, mature and erudite manner without ever devolving into something terrible, which I have seen happen on forums a thousand times. These people are intelligent, mature, passionate and friendly. To me that is a perfect combination of traits for people to play games with. You should check us out. www.the-bwc.com. Your most memorable moment with BWC.

Now, I should not lie to tell about a time I had a memorable moment in a game, have not been a member that long.
What surprised me most is how they manage to handling so many members without there being chaos, all those who volunteer and help out in BWC, it's them who made my memorable moment, those who is the killing machine in game, and still have time left for such a huge task. These are serious players who really want something more with what they do, you just have to experience it to understand.

One Team, One Fight!
