More or less. They take the dammits off the back and grind it in there. My rank happened to be sitting on my collarbone, which made it especially "pleasant".

Man. I miss the days when this was an 'accepted' practice. The scars from my Specialist promotion have faded away with time, unfortunately.

You should see the marks where my Aviator wings got pinned on my chest. Hurt like a !@#$% but well worth it.

Blood rank being, what? Where they beat your rank badge and leave a mark on you?

If you haven't seen people put on their military decorations, often times you don't see or know what dammits are. The civilian term for dammits are butterfly clutches (see the first image below). These are attached to straight pins (see second image below)that are designed to punch through the thick fabric of dress uniforms soldiers and sailors wear, so when you remove the dammits and then punch the pin (or whatever decoration it may be) into the recipient (blooding them, though where the blooding scars are depends on branch), those straight pins stab through you like they do the fabric they're designed to penetrate.

Great-looking paint-job posted http://mwomercs.com/...post__p__353743.

At least as good as a pier in Perth while pulling in on a USN ship.

That's pretty badass, those blood ranks.

So far i have loved the training sessions in this company. I'm a big nut for structure, and this guys have it, but not just that they also have the attitude to boot, remaining calm and cool all the time.

Thanks Psycho, squared away now.

New Planetside vid looks good!

I think it's high time we get that Mechwarrior recruitment video underway. Starting discussion on the website.

Business does not get any more serious than video games...true story. Well, that's what I was told anyway.

I grew up playing video games, then I got a job and was good at it because I played video games then realized my job was really just one big video game. At the end of the day when work is over, I go home and play MORE video games. True story..

You know, for all of Captain Blowhard's boo-hooing and trolling and flaming and generally trying to play Playskool's Nail-Me-To-The-Cross Martyr, I'd like to actually commend that guy and trolls like him.

You see, Bravo Whisky Charlie recruits (at a minimum) two players per week. The average is closer to four, it hovers between three and four. You can't really consider point-nine-two a person, that's just not the sort of thing we do. However, with a certain someone's granular vaginitis and whinging and general abortive attempt to flame in Firefly-style, that number just shot through the roof. It may be coincidence, or it could very well be directly related. I don't know.

But what I do know is, a real-life 'Mechwarrior uniform and awesome shades are f***ing intense. And that red vest? Pimping. I'm sure if we implement something like that in our daily lives, maybe a recruitment video of guys in flat-tops, Top Gun aviator shades, red vests, and neat-oh mercenary uniforms, we'd be swimming in recruits.

And hot chicks. Maybe even hot-chick recruits.

It's mostly just a means to protect yourself...ya know 'cause that fat hairybacked guy is probably just playing a female elf so guys will hit on him or give him stuff. I'll stop there, I'm already weirding myself out.
