So, I've been asked by two people, "what does military-style, veteran owned mean?"

Military-style: chain of command, ranks, (voluntary) promotion system and (voluntary) awards system, organised structure

Veteran-owned: BWC HMFIC is an Army veteran. Several of my officers are also military veterans. PS BN CO is a Marine. Team BWC PB Team captain is a Marine. S-3 is Air Force. MWO BN CO is Army. Multiple officers and Legionnaires wear or have worn a uniform. The current count is innumerable, but we have prior-service and active-duty. We have combat veterans, wartime-service veterans, and peacetime veterans. We have Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines. Two Coasties. Multiple members from foreign services. And a lot of civilians. Military service is not required to join. And we don't give a flying **** what your views on war and peace are, what your current opinion of the two wars of this past decade are - as long as you can agree to work as a team and kick the crap out of anyone who wants a fight, we're golden.

I would guess that about 55% of our player base is current or prior members of the armed forces from somewhere. That might be low-balling it though.

Also, our leadership infrastructure is just as mixed between military and civilians as the recruits coming in, so it's safe to say that it's about who can do the job right, and not who has had a more colorful past.

Probably took a grand total of 15 mins for me to fill out what you were looking for, "paperwork" wise. Not sure what the big deal was.
Been looking for a vet run group, kind of more my speed.
Got an average age of the member base?

I was looking for a group that was organized and effective. These guys also have a sense of humor which is a plus. This is an easy process to apply. You get an immediate response with simple instructions to follow. Like I said before....minutes of time to apply. Hours of fun as a result.

I don't think there's a firm answer on this one, partly because we have a rather active recruitment forum, we have multiple gaming branches that might throw any of our statistics, and because no one has spent the time to take a count. I would guess we have a median of 33 years, roughly, in the MWO division. That is just a guess though, based on the guys' profiles I've checked enough times to notice and the few times the subject has come up in TS.

I've been with these folks now for about 2 weeks and every timer i have a question or anything they are all ready to help out. Had a great turnout of our "little" training session today. Lots of fun.

Nice to see quality merc companies like this around. Should make for some fantastic community warfare.

So after a night of completely filling up the training server and running through drills and just getting a better understanding of one another and how we each like to fight, I can honestly say that this group (BWC) kicks ***.

Those of you who have thought about checking BWC out, but just haven't gotten around to it yet... stop wasting time and make things happen. This is one group of 'Mechwarriors you don't want to be on the wrong side of.
