I didn't realize we recruited so many political speakers.
Well said, Graives.

I myself never have been, nor will be in any military institution. I was still welcomed in, and am given every opportunity to advance here. I'm no military buff either, so don't sweat it. What I'd like you to come away from this thread knowing, is that this is a GAMING Company, modeled after some of the most effective combat organizations in the world. The point of this Company is to game -LIKE- a professional, with other like minded, mature, professional players. In this environment where people depend on each other, they do tend to create bonds and community pride, but that's not the point, it's merely a common side effect. It's not actually necessary to have those aspects or characteristics in your gaming experience, or to be in the BWC, it's just common.

As for the whole thing about Military and good experience/bad experience, I don't think any non-sociopath enjoys their experience per say. I'm an outsider of course, so I couldn't tell you from personal experience, but it seems to me like it's a respect and a pride they have for enduring the necessary evils associated with maintaining National Sovereignty for their county. The Military didn't make them "cool". They developed character under trial and hardship, and that makes them cool. And it's not for everyone, it's not for me. But I respect them.

This Company is what I really like and want though. At least as far as gaming goes. You can be the best player in the world, and if you're stuck with a bunch of disorganized knuckleheads, you're still going to lose against any well organized, disciplined, bunch of mediocre players working together extremely well. (NOTE: Stuff left out for OpSec) I'm here so that I can win. I like winning. And I'm tired of playing with a bunch of disillusioned loner's.

Besides Blandtastic, if you really weren't interested, you wouldn't have deliberately singled yourself out by posting in our thread. XD

NOT

FOOLING

ANYONE.

Just like with The Outlaw Kazzen, you'll be back. And you may fight it, but you will join. And I will be there to tell you that thing I love to tell people when they end up doing exactly what I told them they'd be doing. :)

Well said... It' true. I resisted at first but honestly this team seems to be a cut (or more) above the rest i've looked at and i've been looking for a while now. So far I can't find any other team that that I can really put any faith in. BWC on the otherhand I fully expect to excell here. That is what it came down to in the end. Sure there are other great reasons to join, but in the end, it's all about making it through this game of war smelling like roses and having a fun time doing it.

That's my man smell. According to Old Spice it's caused by... "Stench Monsters". But when I get back to HQ I can put on some Old Spice which according to the label is really... "Atomic Robots that shoot lasers at my Stench Monsters and replaces them with fresh, clean, masculine "Scent Elves". Which in my case, smell like Peaches and Strawberries. :P

So your "man smell" is also described by others as ball sweat, eh? ;)

tried to put an application in ...link to app is broken..contacted Guido on here for further instruction as he is listed as contact in diplomacy section fo BWC

I have been playing Battletech since mid/late 1970s (pen and paper), all computer games, and have read all the novels with the exception of Battleforce books ( ordering them today) and Dark Age ( read some..lost flavor of prior books)...

I prefer Recon/light mechs in MWO...med to heavy in PnP game...

hope i can get some feedback from Guido or this post so I can get my Application to join in before Aug 8...

BWC has lived up to their Hype. Loving it. Whats really nice, instead of assuming that you know absolutely everything about everything, they "Train" you. I find myself re-learning stuff from 20 years ago that I haven't dusted off since it was shoved down my throat in Basic.

A quality outfit.

Anyone else read this and think the guy seems drunk or something? I checked out his post history on here, and while he seems to have trouble with the English language in every post, he makes a LOT more sense in those posts than here.

As I said, I tried following his post history. Not much to it. He's big on WoB, and has tried multiple times to get them to come together, doing shout outs in the forums for groups he used to know it seems, as well as starting his OWN WoB movement, lol. Anyway none of it took off so it looks to me like he got drunk/high and vented.

I also don't see any recruitment application on the forums from him so he can't have ever actually joined.

My conclusion: He's lost, confused, and quite possibly developmentally challenged.

This is a fantastic crew. I can't believe how much I've learned in as little as two weeks. Overwhelmingly, everyone is very helpful, and eager to teach from the guys who've been there a month up to long time veterans.

Yeah Graives, I concur, he must have been drunk.

Truth is, we do discriminate, but against players who honestly shouldn't be allowed to have internet access in the first place, like this troll LoneGopher, who's only redeeming characteristic in his sad existence is that at the end of the day, a power button will shut him up.

I'm not saying that because you are in a different company, that we have or would discriminate against you, but rather we discriminate against players no one should want. If anyone has been a member, however, they don't fall under that class of people. In a very small number of instances, we have had the need to remove a player from the group, but that was because of certain violations of our few but effective rules.

The members are good players that we may have put too much pressure on or given them too much responsibility for them to handle effectively, but they are of good character and skill, and would be beneficial to other companies because they've been through some of our training, and seen some of our infrastructure.
