Still considering it 3049, huh? ... Maybe you guys have some grand plan in mind and I'm just being harsh. It's possible.

ComStar gave Mechs to the Kuritans in the War of 3039. They were all Star League designs with 3025 tech.

Well, not ALL had just 3025 tech. I'm sure some Comstar acountants had very unpleasant experiances after the wrong stuff got left in a few of those mechs...

This news flash gives me hope that we'll be seeing mechs like the Crab eventually.

The tech readouts for 3050 did state that some COMSTAR tech was accidentally left in in the Kintaro, so it was not all 3025 stuff.

And why wait for the King Crab? An Atlas now can fit twin AC-20s IIRC. Twin AC20s Twin large lasers and an LRM rack I think it was. All possible with the Atlas.

My bad, it was twin LB-10s that I was thinking of, the AC20s take up 10 spaces, can't fit. Sorry.

Instead reengineering this piece of scrap metal they should visit some museum and copy something useful.

Like Javelin. ;)

I really would like to see the Kintaro make an appearance, even though in it's stock config I don't think it would see much use.

cause it is a style question... for me, an KingCrab has more style than an Atlas.

A fast 55-tonner? I can dig it.

Although it has some of the dorkiest looks possible for a humanoid 'mech. Duckface, flippers and dem hips that could cut diamond.

That's funny, I thought Triple Strength Myomer only worked when it was hot (6+ on the heat scale). Can't see how a salvagemech is going to run that hot.

The Hyena is an Industrial Mech produced on 3067. It does have Industrial TSMs. You can shut down Heat Sinks to create a controlled Heat Build Up so that they wok.

I looks like it should be in Futureama.... like screaming "CALCULON!!!!"

I am happy the developers of this game are making the mechs look more realistic. I allways had issues with the tech readout arwork making the mechs look like Jetsuns characters!

Thats the reason why so many of us love unseens and Clan tech - because these looks like real mechs, not some kid toys from KinderSurprise.

Yeah, totally. Unseen, Clan mechs, and especially Clan unseen are srs bzns. Nothing there that looks like a kid's toy at all! And definitely nothing that looks like it came from, or indeed is an egg. Yup.
