I'd say that industrial, jazz fusion, prog metal, and trip-hop are probably my favorite genres, but I'm a huge fan of turntablism, instrumental rock/hard-rock, orchestral/classical/modern symphonic composition, tons and tons and tons of VGM, prog rock, blues, experimental/indie stuff, trance, electronica, and tons more I can't think of atm.

What kind of music do you like?

My taste is song specific.. not genre.. so everything.
Even Monet had off days when he painted crap, Music artist are not different.
I gravitate towards meaning, melody and drama in my music, for instance I don't speak Spanish, but love "Enchained Souls", its epic gripping, thundering double base, brutal riffs, rapid base, and the girl who sings has a voice like angels crying.
That said Eminem, Trivium, Bach, Vivaldi, Cream, Randy Travis, Nelly, Teisto, Megadeth, BFMV, Zepplin, Deep Purple, Cham, Chicago, (the ladies love Cetara, so you have too ) all there.

First off, I'm surprised at how many range from classical to death metal, which actually works against me because I'm going to throw my musical preference into the Death metal side. By that I also mean all of it, blackened death, death/thrash, old school, kind of a death junkie. Lately it's been more about the resurgence of old school death with a more modern sound but with some of the old tropes. Cruciamentium, Krypts, Disma, all worth looking into if you are into that sort of thing. Of course, like many of you, I'm a sucker for good video game music, from Bionic Commando Rearmed to the Evocron Mercenary soundtrack, guess it all just depends.

Various types of metal, rap, various types of rock, classical, pop (depending on your definition), alternative, jazz, some new age, some traditional folk stuff... The genre list goes on.
If you want bands, then I regularly like Rammstein, Dropkick Murphys, Chimaira (sometimes), Bond, Evanescence, Eminem, AC/DC, Loreena McKennitt, Marc Broussard, Michael Buble, Suicide Silence (sometimes) Lacuna Coil, Marilyn Manson, Sick Puppies, Rise Against, Killswitch Engage, Five Finger Death Punch, All That Remains, Stone Sour, and Papa Roach - to name a few.

I listen mainly to indie rock, indie pop, indietronica, indie folk and folk rock, chillwave, pretty much anything indie, some synthpop, ambient electronic, alternative, and sometimes post-hardcore and metalcore, among other genres. Also hardcore (electronic) and chiptunes when I feel like it. I NEVER listen to rap, hip-hop, or Mexican/Spanish-language music (I just have an inherent dislike for those genres).
For example, right now I'm listening to Halogen (I Could Be a Shadow), by Neon Indian.
