Well, here I am full circle back to the Free Worlds League once more. I have found that I have been liking IS mechs more than clan mechs and the new quirks kind of made up my mind for me. I have slowed down on my drinking a bit too and I don't feel so "piratey" anymore and I have all kinds of Marik cockpit items and purple paint. I will be dropping solo for a while until I am certain that I am going to stay Marik, then I might hop back on the TS.

Its a pretty good time to buy a machine. If you can build it yourself and you aren't in Australia you can probably put something together for $600-800 without skimping too much.

I do not have a problem with any of the people I met in the FRR, I just did not want to be tied down to a specific faction or schedule. I will probably stay as a lone wolf merc for the time being and drop with whoever I feel like. I may pick a faction again after I see how CW phase 2 goes.
