Extension to Drop Ship Game Mode

What would be cool to add to this gamemode is basically: survival of you, the pilot.
To be more specific, each player would get like ( 3? ) mechs total to drop in, but you have to eject in order to continue using the rest of your mechs. Failing to eject means you are dead and are out for the remainder of the game. This would bring a whole new level of tactics, because you would have to judge whether or not it is the proper time to eject. Eject too early, you wasted your mech and could have lost a potential kill; Failure to eject? your out.
This would be awesome because ejecting really had no purpose other than surrendering or being an ******* with high explosives. Ejection should be about saving your *** and in this game mode it could do exactly that!

Regardless, the idea of having to eject to make use of the 3 respawns could be pretty cool, I can imagine pretty tense decisions, deciding whether to stay and pull off those last couple rounds or punch out and play it safe.
Neat idea!

Q. Can I get out of the Mech?
A. Will you be able to get out of the Mech? No. One of our gameplay design pillars is that we are putting you in the role of the pilot (MechWarrior®) in a first person perspective.
Interesting idea, but nothing we can look forward to, at least not for the release. Might make for an interesting concept after the Clan Invasion.

This doesn't really have to do with ejecting, this is saying that we don't want crappy mechassault 2 running around, ejecting would simply be seeing yourself be launched into the air, and then the respawn process can begin.

You can get out of the Mech. It's called ejection! And it's a one-way street!
I'm gonna eject and then cut my chute from the apex and see if I can bellyflop from that height. WEEEEEEE ker-splat!

As long as ejecting does not make your Mech explode. We don't need any of that.

What if I wanted to eject but leave my mechs reactor running and shut off the coolant systems so it's guaranteed to overload, and oh yeah I'm standing next to the Galactic Trade Center towers.

Then expect a colossal b*tch-slap from every American pilot. You won't have time to eject cowardly.
