Bunch of ******* Epeen in a game with no yard stick. RHOD is meh, Proxis league needs more matches, would love some community warfare, but alas we have these forum warriors. In the end, no one bothers to take the 8 man ques seriously, except KE when they win a match. I know they beat up a training drop we were doing the other night. We stuck people in a bunch of new mechs, let a new DC have the helm, they stood so far back on Alpine, it took a GPS and a recon plane to find them. Hey whatever floats your boat, you beat the snot out of our group that night, after you popped their lights, the DC had no idea what to do and couldn't close 1600m of open ground to your campfire on the back zone wall. It was funny because the game supported it, and no one in the game right now is better at standing far back and shooting ****. I give them that. KE/ whatever they call themselves, love to que 8's with a **** ton of PPCs and sit in the back of maps and declare their skill is second to none, and maybe, that is the way the game is going. I had high hopes that balanced drop decks and combined arms and actual maneuver would be the future of the game. PGI had a chance to really change the flow of the mechwarrior franchise by making it more fluid. In the end, the reason people tell you to join one of the leagues is that there is a different mindset behind those matches. I don't know a single team involved in that, which strives to take it's A team and play 110% effort in every 8, every night. Lord knows we have too many people to do it.
You beat the snot out of the 8 man que. Good on you guys, I am perfectly willing to declare you kings on the 8's. You, by your logic, have accomplished as much in this game as anyone else. Nothing. What you accomplished in MW4 is literally of no concern.
At least the teams in RHOD are getting together and doing something as a community. RHOD existed before open beta as an attempt to get like minded people to drop together within a framework. Having to play different drop decks on random maps forces you to take a different look at the game. I really wish that every unit involved in this thread would step back and drop the barbs. We'd all love a set way to control the parameters of our drops, so we can really mash our epeens together, but that isn't here yet, and sadly....this game isn't building toward any real balance right now. Not that it matters, the brawler teams will want to always drop on Frozen City, the sniper teams will want Alpine. Broken *** game mechanics and bad maps do not a game make.
Every team here is gonna find it real hard to claim to be the best after the game dries up and blows away because we sat around and spit venom at eachother. Not that PGI cares, they are building this game for the lonewolf, not the teams.
