I just got my own beta key for the game from GamesRadar, and I have two questions:

1) How long should the "Pending" status last? A number of hours, or a number of days?

2) There was a question I had to answer about whether or not I was willing to sign an NDA - I wasn't really sure what to make of that. Are they able to deny me beta access depending on my answer, or are they only going to revoke certain features from me until release, or does it not really mean anything for me as a player?

You have to sign an NDA to play beta, so if you are not willing to sign then you probably aren't going to be playing.

So how long is the expected wait for our profile to be verified?

Or whatever it is thats pending and restricting us from valuble play time?

If you have a valid Beta Invite key the only thing you should do is go to your profile and search for option 'Redeem Code' (or similar) where you enter your key. You should be granted access to the CB forums immediately and access to the game should be possible withing the next 24h (if not, contact support).

For people without Beta key - I wish you luck, you might need it to get in :D

Edit: Signing Non-disclosure Agreement is obligatory if you want to participate in Closed Beta Testing.

Not sure if you have understood the current state if the game.
The game is still a work in progress, we are not playing the game, we are testing it.
If you sing up for beta thinking you will get in and see the full game, then you will be greatly disappointed when you see the game is not finished yet.
It is still a work in progress, so please be patient.

If you signed up for beta you can get in tomorrow or you may have to wait until open beta, there are not specified wait time.
Beta invites are random, some people here have waited for months and never gotten in, others have gotten in just days if not hours after signing up.

Not sure you understood the original poster ;)

OK to clarify as this is not clear. I just redeemed my beta code from FPSGuru, now usually a beta code gives immediate access to the beta program but in this case as the original poster stated it has placed me on pending status with all the items they requested authorised.

So as the original poster stated is this normal (ie with the founders pack is it immediate) and anyone else been in this position (having a valid key and going to pending) and how long did it take to authorise.

Well, I answered 'no' to the question, I don't suppose I can take that back, can I?

Yea, this beta access key thing is currently very confusing. Normally you get a beta key and that implies you gained access to the beta by applying the key. MWO seems to have a different logic or something, since you still need to "Apply" for the beta even though you got a beta key, ....so what exactly is the "beta key" for ? They could've just said "go sign up for beta and wait in line?

Try contacting support@mwomercs.com

Or make a new account and go find a new beta key

you can EITHER apply(and then wait as "Pending" until they invite you) or you can use a beta key; Even if using a key you must still agree to the legally binding NDA contact

Beta Keys give you instant access.

Well then something went wrong with me. I gained beta key from mmorpg.com, came here, signed up, added key during signup and then had to fill in the questionare and now it just say beta status pending. What am i missing?

I did agree to all the relevant parts, even though the questionaire did not come across as an agreement but rather as an informal survey. It is evident many people thought the same. Nowhere did i actually feel i am agreeing to a contract, the questions are things like "how many hours do you play per day" and "how do you feel about signing an nda if required?". That is most defintely not afaik actually agreeing or signing or acceptance of anything....

Not sure what's going on here either. I got a beta key from MMORPG.com, filled in the questionaire, answered yes to the NDA, and got a big yellow "Pending" sign on my profile as well. Is something wrong with the application system?

K, figured it out. There is a section that asks for your key on the sign up page, but for some reason it is not enough to only enter it there. You need to go back to your profile page, click on "redeem code", and then enter it on the page that follows. Then you will be asked to agree to an NDA and a TOS. Then your status will be changed to "Active" and you can download the client. Hope this helps anyone else confused by this process.

That right there sounds like an application to receive a Beta key, not the NDA itself. A NDA will tell you what you can and can't post or tell other people and so on, and it is required for you to accept it in order to get in.

As far as the key you entered, I can't tell you anything about that. I did not use any beta keys received from other sites.

Try Nuhaus' solution. I can't really verify it, but if it works for him...

If you have a beta key, it should give you immediate access, otherwise, it kind of defeats the purpose of having a key at all.

Anyone can apply to join closed beta without a key, after all. That's what the line is for.

Well i got a Key from FPSguru, entered it in the "optional key" slot on registering but its still pending.

And when i try to enter it on the "redeem code" page it simply gives me this:

"There was an error with your input. Please try again."

I tried again... and again... and again.

I tried another key on a different account as well... same thing.

I am having the same problem TripleZero is having. I have a valid key, filled out the survey, said yes to the NDA (I work in game development, so I am way used to those..lol) and ended up with pending status. A little forum searching brought me here, I tried Nuhaus' solution and I just keep getting that "There was an error with your input. Please try again." message with my code now....

Try a key from one of the other sites.

In addition to the Key, you have to log in and agree to the NDA or else you will not be given access.
