19, but don't let that deceive you. I'm definitely not new to the franchise.

36 here, Married with 3 little ones. One day i was over a friends house way early on our game night, and we were about to play some Starwars the RPG. I look over at his book shelf and see this robot on the cover. So i ask him "hey hows this book?" he replies "dont know ive never read it." Long story short I spent the next 3 hours devouring 'Decision at thunder rift'.

Next day I went to the local game shop and dropped 500 bucks on all the Btech stuff i could find, and even had the store owner order a bunch for me....There went all the money I saved for a car (good thing my GF at the time had one :) )

That was back in '92.
Been playing ever since.....

18. At the young age of 4, Mechwarrior 2: Clans was the first video game I ever played and I was hooked right from the start.
It's good to be back and kickin'.

The results of this poll, and many of the stories being shared here, make me obscenely happy.

25. Sergeant "Deadeye" Gunther took me pirate hunting with Hansen's Roughriders on Venaria one day as a wee lad, I never looked back. He taught me some valuable life lessons that day (don't engage a Catapult with a Commando without cover, keep your speed up in combat, kill the meat and save the metal, Outreach is a good place to retire... etc.) Lessons that I still find myself recalling while moving my Mad Cat through a balley, or driving my car, or... :)

Nice to see a influx of 20 somethings here. Shows BT/Mechwarrior is still popular. :)

39 and first tarted playing MW in 1992, still have the original on floppy. MW2 and 3. Earthsiege and all expansions including BattleDrome. MW4. Keep the dice, give me a HOTAS and a detailed Mech Lab. Whoever took Deathlord and Mongoose, Match it and earn that name.

I will say this; I'm 32, and in my 29+ years of gaming, I've been a member in many different communities. Of them all, MechWarrior seemed to attract the most mature; and I found solace in that.

Some gamers feel childishness and poor sportsmanship are synonymous with gaming, but I personally don't stand for it. That's why I'm begging PGI to allow people to be able to host their own game, or rent servers, or in some way have administrative control over the server.

This would be ideal . The group I game with consists of 120+ guys . Ages 26-68. With the median around 40.
We run servers for all the different games we are interested in. I'm hoping to convince enough of them to take a look at MW:O . I'm used to playing with mature individuals and we police our servers heavily.

I'd we we're able to host our own servers that would be great . However , due to the meta game aspect of MW:O I can see how it might not be feasible .

No poll needed for me. I'm only three and half years old :). Mommy won't let me drive the dangerous Atlas until I reach an age to where women are no longer mysterious creatures.
