This was created with ages ranges in a poll. I guess the MWO peeps decided to change it.

It was, but after I revived it when someone made similar post, Metro merged them and the poll disappeared. :D

38 here - I've had an on-again off-again romance with Battletech since I started playing the tabletop game in the late 80's. Now I'm looking for more luvin' again!

25. My earliest memories were from when I was about 8-ish and watching my cousin play that shakey SNES/Genesis MEchwarrior game. You know, the one set on an isometric battlefield and you had to walk around and destroy objectives?

It would be years later that I'd really get into the Mechwarrior games through Mechwarrior 2. And from there, I'd meet my first long-lasting best friend through this franchise in High School. For one of my art classes I drew a Madcat/Timberwolf engagined in urban combat. Once this guy recognized what I was doing, he'd later lend me the Blood of Kerensky trilogy. The fluff really solidified me as a fan. I was now in love with the verse just as much as I was in love with the game.

Wow, I feel like the kid of the group, hmpf, guess I'll have to fight that much harder to prove myself. I am 16, and look like I'm twenty two, as I have been told, I'm a small giant.

I am 21, I have played MW2, plus its expansions. Had the good opportunity to play online, but that was so long ago I was only 6, so don't expect me to remember my user name and the clan that i joined. But I still own them and play time to time. I was lent MW3 for a day, I own MW4 and its Expansions, but i only tried multilayer for a short time. I did suffer thru MechAssault and its sequel. I may be young but I was brainwashed the first instance that i started the game.

One thing stands out as I read these 27 pages of responses. There is no such thing as an average MWO fan. It really should be fun when the game comes out with all the different age groups and backgrounds represented on these pages alone. The spread of ages should make this interesting. I expect most of us older more mature folks will bring a focus on the larger picture to the game. One does that as one ages, called maturity. The youngest group of players will bring their zest and energy, and the mech pilots in the middle should bring a balance. It will be interesting to see if any of the youngsters develop into a mechwarrior JEB Stuart or George Armstrong Custer or any of the older warrriors turn out to be another Robert E. Lee or U. S. Grant. Will the "middle aged" warriors produce a Stonewall Jackson or a Hannibal? So much potential is there waiting to be developed. Hang on "boys and girls", the ride is going to be bumpyand fast but lots and lots of FUN!

I'm not sure about any "Hype" but the game has more than a few expectations to live up to.
