Making very good progress on the mashup remix. Current length 14:40 with 22 songs incorporated.

I'm stuck on the song already, even though it's not complete yet.

Got the melodies, bass, kicks, snares and high hats in now. Only lacking the cymbals/transition sound effects and pads...

Hmmm...I seem to be having quite a bit of trouble locating you all online. I haven't been able to find any of you guys on C3 since that one first time, and for some odd reason only Reisen appears to be online when I am. I like to take it easy with others!

And I only see you and firestorm43 online when I am. I guess it's just bad luck or that the other people are busy or waiting for the next patch / open beta.
And I should join the C3 channel... I usually forget about that.

I should be back beta testing tomorrow. Just finished the arrangement at last. In the process of uploading it to SoundCloud, but I don't want to make it public until after the performance this Saturday.

I like it enough that I'm actively trying to keep the final mix secret... it's also going to be the first song I'm not releasing under Creative Commons attribution license, because it's the first one that is too good to just give away.

Still got to figure out how to fairly send royalties to ZUN if and when I ever decide to sell it. After all, the mix would never have been possible without him. But then, since the arrangement of every single track, the bassline, the drums, and the way the tracks are combined are all original, more than 50% of it is technically original content.

Also, finished a guitar ensemble concert on Sunday... so after Saturday, all my music commitments will be on hold till next Semester.

Once Saturday's concert ends, I'll be posting the link here so you can hear why I love the track so much.

At the end of the day, because the song already has 5 melody instruments, I found I couldn't add even one more melodic element without interfering with at least one other instruments, so the project ended a bit earlier than I anticipated. Added some sound effects at appropriate intervals though, so now it gives you the slight impression you're listening to the song in the Hakurei Shrine. In other words, Sakuya actually knifed the pads...

I have realized that figuring out the C3 server information is clearly a test of my worthiness. (And maybe written right in the first post... so did I pass?)
