Can you post some links for tutorials for blender, if that is the program your using. I just downloaded it, dont know how to work with it yet. I do know how to use some other 3d programs, but I seem to have trouble with this one.

I would appriciated it :)

Hi Jale,

Here is a page with some of the basic controls of blender on it:
http://www.katsbits....ent-control.php
Remebering these is what took me a while

After that, I would just look at some tutorials on blender and slowly learn it, slowly. You wont be a master by the end of the night :) it took about 1.5 months for me to be able to do some decent models of things such as a camera, vehicle etc.

Just look through some youtube, and you will slowly pick up the controls and shortcut keys, it takes time, but it does work.

One thing I did find with blender is it does have quite a learning curve to it, but gets alot easier as you progress with it. Im still learning new stuff about it

Here is a video tutorial on the basics of blender:

Thanks, i have some idea for new catapult desing that i would really wanna make, to see how it looks but idk know how to snap things to each other - becomes very frustrating.

Thanks a lot btw i was trying to find something like this, i have a good perception btw

Yeah, :) thanks again and good luck with your vulture, im trying to build a catapult which torso is similar to the standard mwo, but hands are shaped like thick cilindars and they rotate as they fire
Hate numpad btw ...

Oh i just started, btw im pretty busy but ill find some time for every day - couple of hours maybe, plus im working this on my older pc so...I am ambicious but i dont have so much time to make it for lets say a week. And im founding this bounding box is very useful for snaping :). I started it couple a minutes ago, im already feeling a bit comfortable working on it.

You made the internals too?? NICE!

I tried to get into 3D once using Blender, but lost interest after I found out how complicated the program really is. This kind of stuff makes me want to try it again. :)

It's getting there, the only issue is that your polycount is going to be an insane amount. Not to mention the difficulty you will have UV mapping this Mech. I'd say delete some edge loops, especially on the cylindrical objects and look in to smoothing the normals.

It's all very nice doing the detail but it is unfortunately an un-useable game object, look into baking a high poly mesh on to a low poly mesh as well as combining multiple normal maps.

Anyway, looking good!

Looks so bleak being all gray and untextured, but nontheless is absolutely beautiful. Love the Mad Dog.

Brilliant work man. Very few ( if any ) have done a 3-d model render of a battlemech in such detail from the inside out.

All of these cockpit customization options and not once have I seen anyone add in a cup holder or beer cooler.

Honestly, I know technology is in a slump pre-Clan era, but there's gotta be something usable!

CUP HOLDER IN THE COCKPIT!

PGI, put it in and take my money! I'll even forgive you for charging separately for different cups!
