SInce I see you are very proud of your color, but most people think it is "strange", what about you prove them wrong? Try to think of any possible thing colored in purple, that is viewed as manly and post it here. This thread is just for a bit of fun here and getting to know our allies a bit, since I know a lot of Kuritans, Davions, etc., but I do not know any members of our manly allies. ;)

I will start:

Saints Row, the most manly gang on the whole world... and purple.

Feel free to make any comments like these to the 1st Orloff Grenadiers. I think they might have some explosive answer coming your way. ;)

Oh, I forgot, our highly esteemed capellan neighbors don't view any unit as "pro" that doesn't come with a Death Commando - like paint job. And then promptly get their behinds kicked hard on Kathil. :P You remember the "supposed Death Commando" raid on New Avalon? Guess why the powers behind the curtain chose that unit as cover - because noone would expect any reason in a capellan élite unit.

Thus I'd rather wear a shiny purple uniform and risk being made fun of for the color, than wearing a supposedly "bad***" one and being made fun of for being pathetic. But hey, let's not lose face over this, shall we? :(

Nah. those grenadiers have green mechs, only unit I would rather not start talking about the purple while fighting with them at my side are militias, which prefer it. ;)

FWLM has quite a few units that dont follow the "manly" purple path. personally, the purple never bothered me as it has been the color of royalty thru history

Purple was for a long time considered the color for nobility, especially in ancient Rome it only makes sense we should paint our mechs purple to symbolize superiority! :)

The Purple People Eater (yes, that's it name).

Also, becoming Emperor of Rome was called "donning the purple" because purple dye was restricted to the very wealthy in that era. It came from some rare sea snail shells or similar.

The way I see it, a man wearing purple (or pink, for that matter) has nothing to prove...

Not sure about pink, but purple has me almost wanting to join Marik instead of Steiner or the Rasalhagues. Just throwing it out there. Purple and chrome is groovy!

I painted a company of minatures purple and gold a few years back just because I needed a new color scheme. The came out so well that they became my favorites - bold, striking and strong with an implied meance of death and destruction! I just wish that MW4 had a descent purple color scheme.
