I have to go with the Jagermech. We already have a 65 ton missile support mech.

Bombs away! Since there is no Archer, arguably the most sucessful mech ever made, I'll go with the closest thing I can find. Wish there was more ammo available though. Maybe the Mechlab will allow for a near Archer Clone with smaller LRM launchers and more ammo. Time will tell.

Axman
Bombardier
Jagermech

so anti-davion I know.....but i hate the jagermech....I always had to play one for tabletop (opponnent always got to choose some of the mechs you ran in league play from your faction list) and any smart player choose the Jagermech. Why? cause it only had 6 tons of armor! (96 armor points)...JM6-A had slightly more....8 TONS!...what a frickin joke.....

Axman minus the ax just isnt the same, good mech, but it goes into the 2nd slot behind the Bombardier, however, we already have a 65 ton missile boating fire support mech, its called a Catapult, therefore Axman goes back to number one....I would prefer the Thunderbolt, and as i understand the Thunderbolt is "Reseen".

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Reseen

Thunderbolt would be at the top of my list for 65 ton battlemechs, period.

It hurts my eyes too see all that "stolen"/Borrowed Gundam like japano robot legs....
I thank the Gods for the redesing programm of Mechwarrior Online...
about time someone put the "Mech" back into the 21st century

Would rather have a Thunderbolt than any of those but if I must I would take a Axeman because it has some degreee of mobility all thou I am not a fan of it's ax.

Axman. The Hatchetman, Axman, and Berzerker brothers are three of favorites and have been for a while. There is something very satisfying about cutting up an enemy mech with a gigantic axe. The Bombardier is another solid machine, but long range support mechs have never been my thing.

I think this is a poor survey for these reasons;

A: We already have a Catapult confirmed, which is nearly identical to the bombardier and also 65 tons.
B: The JagerMech is a lightly armored long range mech, similar in purpose to the catapult, just with direct fire weapons.

Currently, if we CAN use the mech's axe, the Axeman is my vote. If we can't, the JagerMech and the Axman are nuetral in terms of utility, and the Bombardier is only a desirable option from a style point as it is made superfluous by the Catapult.

Never seen the Bombardier Mech before, but, it certainly looks like an angry clown.

The Catapult does the same thing has the Bombardier so I don't see the need. I have a hard time chosing between the axeman or the jaggermech. I think I would use both depending on what role I was doing.

Depending on the role i'm playing, both of them.

That said, i'm a brawler, so i need a huge autocannon, and something for the punchline... like an axe in the face. The Axeman suits me well.

I'd rather the Crusader or T-Bolt but will go for Jagermech.

How about something that doesn't suck, like a Thunderbolt? Maybe an Archer?

Of the 3, I'm inclined to say "Bombardier", which is good for the fire support role, though it has serious weaknesses defending at close range. The Axman probably has the strongest overall capabilities, but it's also crammed to the gills with LostTech - ferro-fibrous armor, XL engine, double heat sinks, pulse laser, CASE... why not just throw a Clanner LOLoki into the mix while you're at it?

Edit: Or the Crusader, which would also not suck.

Without being able to use the axe, the Axeman is pointless. Jaegermech.

Getting the axe to actually work in this game (or any game, frankly) would be a real bother to code.
