I have to confess, I was quite impressed by the 85+ 1st Robinson Rangers who showed up to the TS3. They seem a pretty friendly bunch, at one point a while back someone from their (I think) C company jumped in to the RAI Ready Room when he noticed there were two of us in there and asked if we wanted to join their 6 man group.

But anyone here who doesn't have a crew to play with, either add me on Skype or Steam. I do run a corp, which is slightly more casual than I'd like it to be, but generally pretty fun to play with. I can normally drum up a lance at short notice, so if you're looking for a game (or corp to join), let me know.

I don't think anyone is... when gamma reads this, it may be a good time to advance the story.

You are RPing a bunch of clanners...Clearly you should start infighting and wasting whatever resources you have. :P

Its an update! Had written a really nice long post, somehow didn't get saved. Kind of sucks. Anyways, new (shorter less awesome) post is up. We're on the Questant, heading towards the White Lightening, and getting ready to see the Jags.

Sorry to hear about the long post Gamma, but what you got up is plenty good for scene setting :)

also rogue, my character doesn't have a bloodname. so referring to me as Star Captain Arc Jorgensson would be incorrect. I just noticed this btw.

and gamma, put some clothes on :(

Wait what? Then where does the Jorgensson come from?

that is the line he is from, but he does not have a bloodname. He can win a Jorgensson Bloodname, but he does not have one yet.

Riiiiight. Okay.
Ugh, clan genetics and ;aslkjglkgg. I have never managed to understand how that works.
I have to ask though, can you obtain the rank of Star Captain without a bloodname? I was under the impression it was a prerequisite. But that could be convention rather than compulsion.

Star Captain is generally as high as you can get without a bloodname. 3 kills in the initial trial of position would land you that rank. though theoretically you could get as high as galaxy commander, but that would require 5 kills in a match. no idea what would happen if you pulled 6 however, or the highest possible of 7 (shooting the other testee out of their mech counts as a kill)

Now you don't need a bloodname per se, you just got to be a badass when it comes time for your trials of possition. Like when Natasha K and Phelan K (or whatever he goes by now) did their trials together Natasha downed um... four mechs? (or was it five?) her three and one or two of Phelan's. It's highly unusual for that to happen as the trial would have to unravel into a disorganized mini grand melee.

EDIT: is there even a rank higher than Galaxy Commander without becoming Lore master, Sa-Khan, or Khan?
