I play everything w a joystick if applicabkle, its just part of the fu8n for me. But anyone who uses a jystick can tell you that you do lose some control/accuracy over using a good mouse. was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or techniques to practice for increasing accuracy when using a joystick. lately ive just been playin lots of mw4.

Practise, practise, practise. Only thing I can really say, but I have a few tips.
1: Dead zone: Use it, make it 10%. Stops the jitteryness and missing those shots because your hand twitched and twisted the torso.
2: Button assignment: Any control you press more than three times during a battle needs to be on the stick top. Override shutdown, weapon groups 1-3, next target, zoom. Eject, if you wanna be in character.
3: Don't use the keyboard. At all. Keep one hand on the throttle and one hand on the stick at all times. Make sure all the keys you'll press are on the stick itself, either on the base or up top.
That is all. Good hunting

If you're joystick doesn't have enough buttons for everything you want, use modifiers like CTRL, ALT, SHIFT to allow more functions to be mapped to your joystick.
Turn off force feedback if you have it. It's cool for the first few minutes until you realize that each time you get hit your targeting either your feet or the sky.

MW4 allowed for a button to be designated as a "Shift" button almost doubling button utility. Overlap functions on buttons as much as possible. Button 6 = over ride auto shut down, while shift+6 = flush coolant, 5 = target under reticle, shift 5 = target next enemy, etc. That way if your muscles are slow learners the problem gets solved. Also, not a good idea to make zoom a shift function tied to a button whose primary function is fire a weapons group.
